FSU football DB Edwin Joseph out for the rest of spring practice with an injury

Florida State football redshirt-sophomore defensive back Edwin Joseph will miss the rest of spring practice with a "small injury", Mike Norvell announced on Tuesday.

The Seminoles head coach said Joseph wouldn't be out long-term, but the injury was significant enough to sideline him for spring practice.

"Nothing that will really keep him out of summer, but unfortunately, he will be out for the rest of spring," Norvell said. "That opens up a door of opportunity for guys like Ricky Knight."

Knight was mentioned by Norvell last week as someone who stood out early in spring practice, and he singled him out as the player to get increased opportunity with Joseph out.

Jospeh joins Tennessee transfer Jayson Jenkins alongside safeties Shyheim Brown and Conrad Hussey in missing spring practice due to injury.
