Futurama - Bender's Big Score

Bought and watched this last night - the first of 4 full-length Futurama movies (all straight to DVD).

Really enjoyed it.

I really wanted this for Christmas. Gonna have to go buy it myself now. Can't wait! I love Futurama.

Big time Futurama fan here. Its a shame that somebody at Fox had a vendetta against the show, it had higher ratings than both Family Guy and King of the Hill when it was nonsensically canceled. The movie itself was pretty good. It wasn't quite as funny or quotable as the show, but it had its moments along with a lot higher quality storyline than what I had expected (although all of the cartoon nudity got old fast). Now that they have gotten all of the cancellation jokes and backstory out of the way I think the next three movies are going to be a lot better.

I loved the jabs at Box, er Fox, and the running powdered executive jokes.

Yeah, chastising the "delivery network" was one of the best bits. I also thought the Al Gore cameo was great, same with Zapp Brannigan. Hopefully Brannigan has a bigger part in the next film.
