I was in the car listening to him being interviewed on KDUS...you can pretty much erase the C (as in Center) next to his name and list him as a Guard. He mentioned that coach green specifically mentioned that he would probably be looked at as a Guard first..he played Guard for two years (or that is how I interpreted his comments-Green called him right before the pick). Not sure what they told Stepanovich..but it is not like we drafted two Centers - both have played guard - and one will probably be a guard and the other a Center - but that may not be determined until training camp...
I am thinking someone on this coaching staff was not that impressed with Garcia, Wragge, Spikes, etc... In theory maybe we should have looked at a tackle also..since clement is very questionable...but it got me thinking that perhaps if Clement sucks again...we could perhaps consider moving leonard davis...which is perhaps why we took two guys who are guard/centers as opposed to taking a tackle...but then again...maybe current personnel had nothing to do with it - maybe they just took the best two guys on the board...
