He might of just lost home field advantage for the NL. The AL has been dominant in the All-Star game lately.

AL wins 7-6. Screw Gagne. I hope he blows a lot more saves for the Dodgers this year.

Shhhh, he's on my fantasy team... I traded Gary Sheffield and Mark Prior for him and A-Rod

Gagne was interviewed after the game and his response to blowing the save and the home field advantage for the NL, "It's no big deal." Way to go Gagne.

Wasn't it strange see Socscia (sp?) out there arguing a call in the AllStar game though?

That is because he knows when you have to sign Henderson that is 44 to save your team you are screwed, if just figured that either the D-Backs, Giants, or Braves will be there and he hates all of them.

It's ironic that a NL pitcher and an AL pinch-hitter -- neither of whom will be anywhere near the World Series -- decided in the 8th inning which league will have the home field advantage.

This new policy is an over-reaction to last year's tie game. And, as most reactionary decisions, I'll betcha it will be rescinded within 4-5 years!

I loved how McCarver and Buck kept touting the "lights out" closers that the National League would be bringing in in the 7th, 8th & 9th innings (Wagner, Gagne, Smoltz) to seal the deal if the National League had a lead and then Wagner and Gagne end up blowing the game. Classic!

Nobody likes a know-it-all.
