If NO matches offer sheet for Gordon which they apparently will then Suns will turn attention to keeping Shannon Brown

Don't care much for Brown, but he's a stop gap anyway. Would prefer Mayo.

I would go with Brown then go after Harden or a starting SG next year. Dragic could play some SG also if Marshall can show any promise.

I love it. Brown is a good SG.

The only reason I was in favor of the signing last year was because I liked it was a 1 year deal and didn't mess with the cap. If the price is right I'm all for it, I thought Brown improved down the stretch last year.

If the Suns can somehow land a top pick and sign Harden next year there will be real reason for excitement(for me anyway).

I'm 100% OK with that. Not totally sold on Mayo for more than Beasley got. And with the Mavs & Rockets scrambling, I think his price will be too high. Plus, Brown actually played well when he started to get consistent minutes.

How is Jerryd Bayless not a better option now that he is UFA? He is probably better right now and has some untapped potential plus is a local kid.

Sold. PLEASE let this happen. This keeps us under 25 wins, IMO - not that Brown is a bad player, just not a starter on a team that doesn't have star power or a go-to player.

Dragic-Brown-Dudley-Frye-Gortat

Top-5 pick, here we come.

You are missing Beasley.

Not that he will add a lot of wins but he will definitely start and put up 20+ppg on that sorry team.

Does Shanon have any teams looking closely at him now? I haven't heard any, and I would hate for the Suns to overpay in a panic. I like Brown, and thought he played well as a starter when Grant was out.

The Suns are going to be a bad team over the next couple of years... Unless, of course, Kendall Marshall is the next KJ and Beasley turns out to be Tom Chambers. Wouldn't that be hilarious?

This lineup surely doesn't pack the stands. The Suns are really going to be hurting. Sarver may be forced to sell the team.
Well, I guess there is a bright side to everything.

Shannon Brown was a pleasant surprise for me last season. I think he can play even better as a Sun this season. I guess it all come down if there are better options available and the ticket price.

Interesting to see what Brown and Redd could do there.

Funny to go to the Hornets Nest and see what Hornets fans think they could get out of us in a s&t. Most included Gortat. One proposal wanted Lopez, Dudley, and two unprotected Suns 1sts.

Good grief. We are already at the top of what we want to give up to get him with the money we are paying him.

Make the contract as hard as possible for N.O. to match and call it good. No sign and trade unless it's Lopez or something. The Suns need to be accumulating assets not letting them go. Other trades will be available down the road where picks will be needed to attract a bigger fish.

Most Hornets fan I saw demand a price that I would not even be willing to trade for Gordon if he was healthy and under contract for 3 more years with them.

I think if a S&T is being worked out they will get a reality check.

If the Suns are giving up even 1 unprotected pick it would be epic failure on their part.

You don't give up assets to make a risky signing (health) AND overpay the guy.

Frye, Telfair, Lakers 2nd rounders and Lakers 2013 pick they can have for all I care. Nothing else. Maybe Robin Lopez in a sign and trade if they take on some other salary so we can find a replacement.

Only way I'd give up more is if they took on some negativ value from us like Childress.

It sounds like the Suns suspect that a sign-and-trade with the Hornets for Gordon won't work, so they're already making contingency plans.

Hope so. I really would hate the Suns to give up significant assets for the right to pay Gordon 14.5mil per.

Well, this certainly puts Shannon's name in the conversation. Maybe they are looking at doing a S&T involving Brown +....?

LOL you guys crack me up. Maybe you would like to go watch some Cavs games and let me know how much better they are. I watched many years of non playoff games, this team right now on paper at least will be fun to watch, unlike last years, Screen and Roll, Screen and Roll, brick. :)
