Re: #Dbacks lineup -- Planned day off for Peralta per Torey Lovullo. Also, he likes to give his bench guys starts on day games after night or Sundays because he believes they bring some energy to the lineup on those days when regulars may be a little tired.

and gave up a leadoff home run. 1-0 Padres at the end of one.

I had to step out and it is now D-backs 7-2 after 7 innings. The big hit -- a pinch
hit 3-run homer off the bat of our best, and clutch, hitter, David Peralta. He is
the Goldy of 2019 and even better than Goldy was in 2018 when Peralta emerged
as the hitting leader. 'Not bad for a former pitcher.

Peralta's pinch hit HR is the first of his career.

And Greinke settled down and pitched an excellent game. I just wish he could
overcome giving up runs continuously in the 1st inning as he did again today
with a HR.

Good to see the D-backs apparently salvaging the 4-game series (following three
1-run losses) from being swept. Hopefully despite Yoshi being hit again and giving
up a run in the 8th with a runner on 2B and two outs.

Yoshi now gives up another run to make it 7-4 with a runner on 1B. And he is
outta there. He needs to be moved from the 7-8-9 group to work it out, if he can.

Chafin is in and ends the damage with a comebacker (which he almost threw away.)

Christian Walker with a solo HR to start the bottom of the 8th.
He is 3-for-4, a triple shy of the cycle today.

He is coming back. We need his bat. And our closer, Holland,
is warming up in the bullpen with an 8-4 lead.

If the current score becomes final, we would have scored one run
more than the Padres in the 4-game series, while losing 3 out of 4.

Why all the freaking out over Greinke? You just know he's gonna go on a run now. His velocity actually seems better this year over last. All this trade talk is crazy hes our ace and I'm glad we have him.
