-Stanton is a really good backup QB in this league. Losing Palmer could've spiraled this team into a complete state of ineptitude; however, he's done just enough without turning the ball over to put the team in position to win ball games. I think he still needs to build some confidence in his arm as he can make the big throws, but under throws a lot of his receivers. I do like his poise in the pocket.

-John Brown is blossoming. His route running in this game was spectacular, and was so wide open on both his TDs.

-Tommy Kelly should stick around for a while. Blocked FG and got good push up front. The run defense hasn't suffered at all.

-Patrick Peterson played a solid game after disastrous previous week. He was able to jam Crabtree and Lloyd on the line and completely throw their timing off. He does best when he's playing on the line, not 10 yards back; otherwise, he can get beat underneath.

-Tony Jefferson has an argument for player of the day. He did a good job in coverage and led the team in tackles and had to only sack. His best contribution, though, was when he provoked Boldin into head-butting him, causing the 15 yard penalty on a goal-to-go situation, which eventually led to the blocked FG.

-Bruce Arians is an amazing coach. Enough said.

-San Francisco is in a world of trouble, which is awesome. Whatever is going on in that locker room has spilled onto the field. They are undisciplined, selfish, and careless at times. SF could very well end the season as a 7-8 win team, and with that talent level, would be unacceptable. I could see Harbaugh being fired or bailing and taking the Michigan job when Hoke is fired.

Interesting note from today's game. All 23 points were scored by rookies.

Tony Jefferson played awesome. Tackled really well and was very aggessive. On his sack, watch the replay, he sidestepped his blocker so bad the guy went to his knees and that was his only assignment. It was a great little stutter by Jefferson and a huge play in the game. I thought he played great.

Jefferson had an epic game today. Definitely player of the game consideration. What I like about this team is, someone always steps up. That's what championship teams are made of.

And, Tommy Kelly appears to be the 'steal' of the off-season. hasn't missed a beat from the the loss of DD

That Kelly pick up has been great so far.
He has been big for us. Give credit to FO for filling the void so quick.

I do remember after the first game Kelly kept talking about going to practice so he could learn and improve. Man of his word and willing to put in the work

Agree with all of this and would add:

- Minter isn't a bust, but he's so not good... He's essentially a nose-tackle in a linebacker body. He sux in the open field and is lost in pass coverage. He's pretty decent against the run, but that's it.

- Bucannon is playing middle linebacker... And doing a pretty damn good job of it, especially as a rookie.

- John Carlson is a pro's pro. Love the guy and is a true, legit pass-catching threat!

- Our o-line, while still needing much improvement, played a hell of a game today. Stanton had way more time than any of us could've hoped he would have!

- I was skeptical of letting Feely go, but the CAT is legit! BASK made the right call there... I know, shocker!

- Rucker and Kelly are a fantastic tandem!

- Cromartie was having a tremendous game until he got hurt!

Nothing short of amazing what Arians/Keim and the assistant coaching staff has done drafting, signing, and developing overlooked players. Jefferson, Ellington, John Brown, Larry Foote, Tommy Kelly, Alan Fanaika, etc. The list is much longer than in years of Cardinals past and has a ton to do with the team's success. I can't think of another team that has gotten more out of low draft picks, undrafted free agents, and castoffs than the Cardinals the last two years.

Kelly is having the same impact as the los and Abe pick ups last year. Not as flashy (blocked FG very flashy actually) but doing incredible work in the trenches which was needed with the loss of DD.

What I'm trying to say is that the los acquisition last year graded out as an A+. Old Abe an A and I'm giving Kelly an A- thus far.

I'm loving the DB's and as most not thrilled with the LBers. Honey Badger still showing the tackling ability and instincts but a step or two behind where he was last year.

Kind of reminds me of the way that the old Washington Redskins operated when under the the leadership of George Allen, which provided some really good teams. By the way, are you sure about Fanaika?

I wouldn't call Peterson last week disastrous that's going way over board

But pretty much spot on with everything. Brown is amazing he really ads an extra dimension to this offense

He means Paul Fanaika

Alan Faneca was a guard we had a few years back and past his prime.

Correct thanks Bullhead. Paul Fanaika has a mean streak that really shows on the interior run game. I am not entirely sure about his pass blocking, but he really gets it done in the run department.

My brother from SF and an employee of mine have been giving me crap for what seems like a decade. Be nice to give back, at least for now.

Man, Cromartie was so close to that pick 6 and it was a real bummer when he got injured.

Thanks for your observations TJ.

Quick question, was Jefferson undrafted? What school did he come from? Refresh my memory, please.

It was smart of them to not go with PP on Crabtree. It's just not a good matchup today.

So glad VD was out.

I thought we got him in free agency last year.
