Was jacked all day for my first game of the season as the Dbacks & Duds square off for the 1st time this year. Meeting a buddy at the new Game 7 Grill as I have many times over the years when it was previously Sliders and lord knows how many other names. The one constant is it has always been a lively atmosphere to get the blood lathered for a big series. Wow, what a buzz kill it is now. No music, half the patio is reserved seating, and the beer was not quite stadium price, but no more tubs with lovely ladies serving. Huge disappointment for me.

It appears a family atmosphere is the goal, which I have no problem with, I would love a place nearby with a little more pre-game "tailgate" feel. Any suggestions?

Cooperstown or Jackson on 3rd both have patios with a pretty good vibe on game days. Coach and Willies too, but it is less tail-gatey.

Was heading to Jackson's but discovered its closed. Coach & Willies is now Legends, and thats where we ended up for a bit (ok, but fairly quiet). May have to try Cooperstown or maybe Tilted Kilt. It's a bummer as it seems the sports district is struggling. Maybe a consequence of the Suns down, and most of the energy has been focused in the Roosevelt Row area (which is really cool on its own)?
