And...Jones, who has been struggling mightily just to make contact, is leading off, and Vargas, who is also struggling mightily, remains in the line, while Dyson and especially Locastro, who were keys to yesterday's win, are back on the bench.

SMH...

Dyson would be carved up by Kershaw (lefy on lefty)... Jones is the right call there. And Locastro is starting.

I didn't catch the switch-out of Vargas for Locastro. Still begs the question as to why Vargas was in and Locastro was out in the first place.

Ketel Marte is back in the lineup. He was in center in the first version; Torey Lovullo said the club decided it might be better to have him at second, where he has less ground to cover, so they moved him there and swapped out Ildemaro Vargas for Tim Locastro.

Because Tory likes Marte in CF and saving Locastro for later innings...

Torey also likes going to Archie Bradley in high leverage situations. Does that mean the team should keep doing so?

LOL.. Apples & Oranges. Unfortunately, the team isn't blessed with tons of options in the pen. Torey is managing for a season, not a game. He needs arms not only now, but in August & September as well.

My point was that Torey's approach doesn't seem to be working so well, so I wouldn't want simply to defer to what he likes...

The guy has been a MLB manager for all of 2 1/2 seasons, and has won more games than he's lost, winning at a .531 clip on a team where he inherited a number of bad contracts, a farm system that had been raped and pillaged and that sits in the middle of the pack in terms of team payroll, with 25% of the team payroll allocated to one guy (Greinke).
I'm pretty OK with the job Torey has done thus far. :koolaid:

True...however, Archie is a mess right now and it gets worse virtually every outing. I think sending him down to get him out of the spotlight for a bit and get his head right would be wise. There has to be a pitcher down there who could come up and flail about and still be no worse than Archie is right now...and maybe Archie could become useful again.

No one on the team makes more than 7 mil other than ZG. Dodgers have 7 making more than 17 mil. It is what it is.

Damn Walker with a huge error. Hopefully Zack can work some magic.
