Last year I thought that Jarrod Dyson had two uses only. As a pinch-runner and as a defensive replacement in CF. But he has shown that he is an excellent leadoff hitter.

I wish that Torey would leave him there, bat Adam Jones in the heart of the batting order (instead of shifting back and forth from there to leadoff) and leave Ketel Marte at 2B.

And use Wilmer Flores, whose .300 OBP is lower than anyone except Vargas and Escobar, as a backup.

Our hitters have been doing well so far, except for one game. But why not build a foundation of the performers who are earning it?

There is no shame in telling Flores that his role is as a reserve. Every team needs them. :)

Has he ever stuck with a line up more the 3 games since he's been here, nope. Wish he would but not seeing that change anytime soon.

Which is an enormous mistake, in my opinion.

Agree 100%, but Torey Lovullo and logic/common sense just don't mix.

It won't surprise me at all if/when our offense comes crashing back down to earth tonight.

Not so fast, 1Sun. In the words of Tug McGraw, "Ya gotta believe!" :)

As the D-backs mantra for 2019 --our pitchers goof and our hitters hit -- continues.

The Red Sox jump out to an early 3-0 lead against Weaver in the top of the 2nd . . .
and the D-backs come back with 4 in the bottom of the inning. With the lower part
of the batting order doing the damage.

It should be an entertaining season!

As the guys in the booth pointed out, we have 3 of the top 5 doubles hitters in the NL so far.
I think they said we're 1-2-3.

As someone who posted before the season that I wish our go-to swing would be line drives
into the gaps for doubles, rather than into the air, I am thrilled.

Go D-backs hitters! You'll have to carry the team.

Man I dont think they will, but I would love to see Duplantier get a couple innings today . Based on pitch count for weaver .

Not so fast, BC. Outside of that one inning, the offense has been a major dud today.

He has been outstanding in the regular season thus far.

So has Archie.

Unfortunately, the rest of the regular bullpen has been garbage.

And outside of the one big inning, the offense tonight has been atrocious.

We saw that what, 30 times last year?

Like I said, I can't for the life of me see how anyone could think Torey Lovullo is a good manager.

And he gets bailed out, so he will continue to get credit he doesn't deserve.

Tacos again?!?!

Taco Bell is going to have to offer a free burrito or something or people are gonna get resentful.
