The Utah Jazz are a well coached group with a team concept on offense. The Phoenix Suns are all pick and roll and no motion offense has been entirely ineffective.

So far this season I have not been at all happy with Amare Stoudemire's defense and rebounding. He's consistently out of position, and a lot of the time he looks like he's just taking it easy.

It's bad enough a Utah has outplaying the Suns, but these referees have been horrible also. The Jazz defense is all about groping. The Suns are getting manhandled anytime they go to the basket, and only a few have resulted in trips to the foul line.

Honestly, how hard can be to look at a few game tapes of the Utah Jazz and mimic some of their movement on offense? If the Phoenix Suns moved around half as much as the Jazz they would break the century mark in scoring every game.

Not looking good is sort of an understatement. Better to say ....."the new look Phoenix Cavilers, er I mean Nuggets."

I don't think any one is playing on a team except the Jazz players.

amare got 9 boards. personally i am wondering if hardaway can play any worst defense? hardaway in the game and it is open trip to the basket.

i hope white can bring some heart back to this team. he is a from georgetown so that should help. right now this team is for the most part playing one on one basketball.

There are alot of why's in this game!
Why did the suns line up along the three point line get constant open looks from the good shooters and no one would pull the trigger? Expecially when we were down so much with so little time left!
why is cabarkapa inserted only long enough to make 2 trips down the court, and then out he comes? at this rate we will have to resign him to see if he can become a good NBA player.
Why does this team always start out so slow and have to play catch up all game long:mad:
Why is shawn Marion fouling there point guard way out top with 4 sec. left in the game when we are down 9 points?
We were out coached badly in this game, and out hustled on the floor, Are we waiting for the playoffs to come around before we decide to play with some energy and passion?
psst. SUNS, you wont make the playoffs winning 1 out of 4 games.
P.S. the refs did suck!

Didn't you hear? Frank Johnson thinks Casey Jacobsen is the Phoenix Suns second best defender. That's what they were talking about at one point.

OMG - please tell me this isn't true - Casey shouldn't even be on the floor.

The Jazz outplayed the Suns just as bad last year up at Utah. I marveled at the Jazz's execution then and the same applies to this game.

The Suns were outcoached plain and simple. Jerry Sloan is a great coach that has his team playing team basketball.

I only wish the Suns could use their superior talent in such a team concept.

Okay, I've made up my mind. Frank Johnson is officially an idiot.

I started to tone out Tom Leander once he started reading adjectives off of his list (Toxic for example)

I did hear something about the second best defender, but I just assumed they were talking about JJ........

Cross my heart. I believe it was during the fourth quarter. Tom Leander commented that Frank Johnson said Casey Jacobsen is the team's second-best defender now. I believe he said Joe Johnson is the best defender, but I could be wrong.

CJ's defense reminds me of the days when I HAD chickens. He looks like he will be on our plates tonight, right next to the carrots. For those of you that have never see a chicken run around the yard without its head, you're in luck - just watch CJ.

I loved the play in the game where Utah had a fast break and one other Sun as well as Casey had made it back down the court. Casey started spinning in circles looking for his man, while Keirlenko(I know spelling is wrong) goes back door for an easy lay-up. Instead of just picking up someone, I really believe he was looking for his man.
If FJ said that comment about CJ being the second best defender-he truly is an idiot.

On the other hand, I have to give Sloan a lot of credit with the players that he has. He truley knows how to run a team and get them to play/execute on all cyclindars. If Sloan coached the Suns this year, I would guess that the Suns would win 10-13 more games. (this is only my 2 cents).

You are absolutely right- we all saw the difference between a great coach (Sloan) and a moron. (Johnson)

Guys, the Jazz SUCK!!

The Suns have no passion and no heart. They got out hustled and out played by a team the would probably lose to a good college team.

I hope that the Suns can gain some heart and passion soon or we will be talking about lottery picks next May/June. I am VERY disapointed in this team

I used to hate the Jazz more than just about any team in the league, but without Stockton and Malone, I kind of dig them. It's very refreshing to see a team of guys overacheive for once instead of never playing better than they should. Sloan is cool. They hustle and play hard all the time. Doesn't it seem weird that they have handled the Suns and the T'Wolves (bordering on being hugely dysfunctional) in the last week? Maybe coaches do matter. What a concept.....

The Suns look bad. They play bad on offense. They run the same set everytime. Pass, screen away, pick and roll with bad pick and crappy roll. Then a shot goes up and rarely is there anyone under the basket to rebound. They are consistently out of position. Now whether that's by design of the offensive set or lack of focus on the situation, it's frustrating.

Is it possible to be sick of watching the Suns after only 2 weeks. I've looked forward to the start of the season for months and I'm already flipping channels because they look so out of it.

Heck, if they're not into it, why should I be into it? That's what was refreshing about the Jazz last night. Both the players and the coach seemed like they gave a crap.

I don't care if the Suns win or lose, but I would like to see them play with a little passion.

Amare seems full of himself. Penny is gone. Voskul is too frantic (if possible). Zarko doesn't get enough time. Marbury is OK, but he can't do it himself. Googs looks like he's 75 years old. Of everyone, I like JJ.

I agree with everything you say NDSunsfan except Marbury, he shares the blame for the Jazz loss more then the others that you named because he got SCHOOLED by a couple of point guards that couldn't even make the suns roster let alone start for them. There was nothing good about that suns game last night. Not even Marbury.

Last night's loss was all about the zone defense. The Jazz put all their defenders right around the key and dared the Suns to beat them from outside. The Suns were not shooting well, and they lost. At home the Suns may have won that game.

It's incredibly frustrating that for a couple years the Phoenix Suns have shown a complete inability to bust the zone. Yet still they stand around and pass the ball around the perimeter until someone misses an outside shot or force is something because the 24 second clock is running out.

This team needs good coaching more than anything else.

You're absolutely right. See what Sloan is doing with very little talent? See what FJ is doing with a lot of talent?
