The UW-Green Bay women's basketball team's first-round NCAA tournament game against Alabama is set for 12:30 p.m. Saturday at College Park, Maryland.

The Phoenix, seeded No. 12 in its region, will look to win its first NCAA tournament game since 2012. UWGB has lost in the first round in each of its past six appearances in March Madness.

But the Phoenix (29-5), the Horizon League regular season and conference-tournament champion, are one of the hottest teams still playing. Kayla Karius' team hasn't lost since Dec. 14 and brings a 22-game winning streak into the Big Dance. Alabama (23-8) was sixth in the Southeastern Conference and was upset in the second round of its conference tournament.
