Gary Payton looks absolutely awful today. I don't think he's made a shot at was only a minute or two left in the first half, and he must have 4-5 turnovers.

He is being thoroughly outplayed by Jason Kidd.

Hmm...something tells me that if he's wearing purple next year, it'll be trimmed with gold.

Some of the discredit has to go to Karl, however. Why would anyone voluntarily get into an open-court game against Kidd? That's where he excels. The Bucks are shooting way too quickly and turning the game into a track meet. If they can't slow the games down, they'll get swept.

IMO the Lakers would be much better off using their midlevel exception on a decent power forward. If they could get Karl Malone or Juwan Howard they would be in great shape. Certainly that would be a better move and spending the entire exception re-signing a player like Deveon George.

Actually the problem with the Bucks is the fact that Payton and Cassell had to fly to Toronto right after the game. Apparently they are being questioned by police for a sexual assault case. So I can only assume that the Bucks players are a bit distracted.
