Hey Ryan, I'm trying to set up my Xbox 360 and popped in an old ethernet card to bridge the connection.. I have no idea what brand this thing is and windows can't install it. Are there some generic drivers i could use to get this thing working?

You can tell the brand by looking up the FCC ID.... if you post it i'll look it up

EDIT, or the MAC address

You can put the MAC address in here and find out the vendor then I'll help you find the drivers for it

http://www.coffer.com/mac_find/

The MAC is usually broken up in 6 octets

Not even sure how to find its mac address, it doesn't show up in my network places, just as a exclamation point in hardware info

You have to look on the card itself. There should be a few string of digits. Sometimes they don't put the MAC on the card but they are required to put the device's FCC device number.

We can look that up here: http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/

Post any string of numbers you see on the card

Ryan for president!

He would have had my vote, if he would have downloaded the drivers, and then emailed them instead of making him register for a free site.... :sarcasm:
