The Georgia Bulldogs baseball team just picked up their most important series win of the season in dramatic fashion. No. 6 Georgia (32-6, 10-5 SEC) defeated the No. 1 Arkansas Razorbacks (31-5, 12-3) with a 12th inning walk-off home run from catcher/outfielder Henry Hunter.

Hunter's walk-off home run gave Georgia a two games to one series win over the top-ranked Razorbacks, who entered the Georgia series with just three loses. Georgia earned consecutive 7-6 victories over the Razorbacks after dropping the series opener 13-3.

"The team that wins is going to be the team that comes out and commands the strike zone and gets off really good swings," said Georgia baseball manager Wes Johnson ahead of UGA's series finale. "At the end of the day, that's going to be the team who wins the series."

Henry Hunter showed off his patience on his walk-off home run. He drew a three-one count and got a favorable pitch with two outs. The rest is history.

"We've just been working as a team," said Hunter after his walk-off home run. "We really wanted this especially with coach (Wes) Johnson knowing that he's been there. Just wanted to get back on track. We know what we're capable of and we've been working hard as a group to just get it right."

Hunter's walk-off should help Georgia baseball rise in the USA TODAY Sports baseball coaches poll. Georgia is looking like a College World Series contender, but the Bulldogs still have some issues. Georgia's pitching is not among the elite in the SEC. The Bulldogs allowed 25 runs in the series against Arkansas.

Georgia really needed to win its home series against Arkansas after being swept in their previous SEC series against the No. 2 Texas Longhorns.

Next up for Georgia baseball is one of the Dawgs' most interesting games all season. Georgia and Georgia Tech baseball square off in Truist Park (home of the Atlanta Braves) in their only meeting all season on Tuesday, April 15 at 7:00 p.m. ET.
