Georgia Bulldogs basketball transfer point guard Silas Demary Jr. is wasting no time evaluating his transfer portal options. Demary Jr. is reportedly visiting with four potential transfer destinations and each of them are college basketball powerhouses..

Demary Jr. entering the transfer portal is a big loss for Georgia basketball. He could still return to UGA, but that seems unlikely. Demary Jr. led Georgia in assists (3.1) and steals (1.7) during the 2024-2025 college basketball season and helped the Bulldogs make their first NCAA Tournament in a decade. Demary Jr., a rising junior, was Georgia's second-leading scorer.

Demary Jr. is one of three Georgia Bulldogs in the transfer portal. The Dawgs could lose six of their top seven scorers from the 2024-2025 season.

What schools will Demary Jr. be visiting?

Head coach Rick Pitino and the St. John's Red Storm advanced to the second-round of the NCAA Tournament and was a No. 2 seed in March Madness before suffering an upset loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks. St. John's lost star guard RJ Luis to the transfer portal and is looking to replace his production. St. John's hosted Demary Jr. on March 31.

Demary Jr. is ranked as the No. 4 point guard in the transfer portal, per 247Sports. He is the No. 12 overall transfer.

BYU Cougars

The BYU Cougars advanced to the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Tournament before suffering an embarrassing loss to Alabama. BYU signed the No. 1 recruit in the class of 2025 and is not afraid to offer big name, image and likeness deals.

Duke Blue Devils

Duke is in the middle of a Final Four run, so it is unlikely they'll host Demary Jr. until after that concludes. The Blue Devils consistently have an elite team and are always looking for the best talent.

Demary Jr. will have two seasons of eligibility left wherever he ends up. Duke is expected to have a lot of top talent depart for the 2025 NBA draft this offseason.

UConn Huskies

The Connecticut Huskies won back-to-back national championships before Florida eliminated UConn in the second-round of March Madness. The Huskies are always looking for guard guard play.

Demary Jr. scored at least 15 points in each of Georgia's last 10 games and he scored over 20 points in four of those contests. He flashed serious scoring potential down the stretch.
