Another major Georgia Bulldog transfer finds himself with the Purdue Boilermakers. Wide receiver Nitro Tuggle is transferring to Purdue.

Tuggle was a four-star recruit in the class of 2024 when he signed with the Georgia Bulldogs. With the Bulldogs, he played sparingly, catching just three passes for 34 yards. Still, Tuggle showed promise with his quick speed and acceleration, potentially paving the way for him to see more playing time in 2025.

Unfortunately, he had off-the-field issues during spring practice. Tuggle was arrested on March 20, 2025. It resulted in him getting suspended for the remainder of spring practice. Tuggle's suspension likely played a significant role in why entered the spring transfer portal.

He had previously planned to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 9, 2024, a few days after Georgia's thrilling overtime win in the SEC championship vs. Texas. A day later, he changed his mind, withdrawing his name from the transfer portal. "I'm not going anywhere," said Tuggle on social media.

Georgia has now lost wide receivers Nitro Tuggle, Michael Jackson, and Rara Thomas through the transfer portal this offseason. UGA also lost receivers Dominic Lovett and Arian Smith via the 2025 NFL draft. Luckily, the Bulldogs struck gold on the transfer portal at receiver, landing Texas A&M wide receiver Noah Thomas and USC wide receiver Zachariah Branch.

Tuggle joins former Georgia receiver De'Nylon Morrissette on the Purdue Boilermakers. Former Georgia wide receiver CJ Smith also transferred to Purdue for one season before transferring to Memphis this winter.
