A Georgia football wide receiver was arrested early Thursday by Athens-Clarke County Police in yet another driving incident for a Bulldog player.
Nitro Tuggle, who will be a sophomore this season, is charged with reckless driving and speeding-maximum limits, according to the Clarke County Jail online booking report. Both charges are misdemeanors.
The Goshen, Ind., native was booked in jail at 1:56 a.m. and was released on bond at 2:55 a.m. totaling $26
The program faced questions last year as player arrests for high-speed incidents continued to make headlines, but this is the first known arrest in 2025.
Georgia athletics declined to comment on Tuggle’s arrest on Thursday morning.
Tuggle, a four-star recruit in the 2024 class, had 3 catches for 34 yards last season.
Georgia is scheduled to hold the fifth of 15 spring practices Thursday afternoon.
