Germany humiliate Scotland in opening hour to stay top
The Women's Nations League resumes on Friday with a full compliment of fixtures.

Scotland 0-4 Germany
Scorers: Senß 1', Howard OG 21', Zicai 56, Schüller 59'
Germany dismantled Scotland in the space of an hour with a 4-0 rout.
Elisa Senß set the visitors on their way in the first minute by drilling into the top corner of the net from the edge of the penalty area.
A moment of misfortune saw Scotland fall further behind through Sophie Howard's own goal after failing to fully clear her lines when dealing with Jule Brand's cross.
The Frauenteam stepped things up after the interval as Cora Zicai was able to fire a low finish before Lea Schüller rounded things off just three minutes later.
Wales 1-2 Denmark
Scorers: Holland 34'; Bruun 7', Vangesgaard 72'
Denmark recovered from Wales' first-half fightback to claim a 2-1 win.
Signe Bruun put the visitors ahead with just seven minutes on the clock in Cardiff by meeting Sara Holmgaard's cross with a bobbling shot which evaded Olivia Clark.
The Dragons responded later in the first half as Ceri Holland skipped past the scorer before firing an effort into the roof of the net from the lefthand side of the area.
But the Rød-hvide retook their lead in the game's final quarter through substitute Amalie Vangsgaard's coolly-taken finish after they had staged a counterattack.
Andrée Jeglertz's side are a point behind Sweden in League A Group 4 while Wales have yet to improve on their draw against the same opponent in this campaign.
Netherlands 3-0 Austria
Scorers: Groenen 12', Egurrola 48', Spitse (PEN) 76'; Plattner 90+4'
The Netherlands put Austria to the sword with a routine 3-1 victory.
Jackie Groenen opened the scoring on 12 minutes with a drilled effort from just outside the penalty area after recovering possession following a failed move.
The hosts stepped things up early in the second half as Damaris Egurrola was able to meet a corner from the left with a header in the middle of the box.
A third followed for Andries Jonker's side in the final quarter of an hour through Sherida Spitse's penalty after Virginia Kirchberger fouled Lineth Beerensteyn.
But Maria Plattner salvaged a consolation for the visitors deep in added time from a counterattack with a low finish to deny Daphne van Domselaar a clean sheet.
The Oranje remain second in League A Group 1, only behind leaders Germany on goal difference while Austria sit four points adrift of them in third.
Switzerland 0-2 France
Scorers: Baltimore 15', Bacha 43'
France maintained their perfect group record with a 2-0 win over Switzerland.
Sandy Baltimore put Laurent Bonadei's in the lead early on by turning Delphine Cascarino's cross in at the far post after the forward made a driving run from deep.
Les Bleues doubled their advantage shortly before half-time from a sublime free kick by Selma Bacha which eluded Elvira Herzog and cannoned in off the crossbar.
The visitors hold a five-point cushion over Norway atop League A Group 2 at the midway stage while the Swiss are rock-bottom with a solitary point.
Sweden 3-2 Italy
Scorers: Asilani 56', Angeldahl 75', Rolfö (PEN) 90+5'; Severini 1', Cambiaghi 85'
Sweden completed a dramatic comeback to secure a 3-2 win over Italy.
Emma Severini broke the deadlock for the visitors inside the opening 20 seconds by prodding Chiara Beccari's cutback from the lefthand side.
The Blågult drew level early in the second half when Kosovare Asllani hit the target after being teed up by Stina Blackstenius.
They missed a chance to take the lead from the penalty spot just four minutes later as Laura Giuliani guessed correctly to deny Filippa Angeldahl's attempt.
The midfielder later enjoyed redemption with an expertly taken free kick which flew into the top lefthand corner of the Azzurre goalkeeper's net.
That advantaged lasted barely ten minutes as Andrea Soncin's side equalised when Michela Cambiaghi headed home from Sofia Cantore's right-sided delivery.
But deep into added time, the hosts snatched the spoils with a second penalty from which Fridolina Rolfö stepped up to clinch maximum points.
Peter Gerhardsson's side now top League A Group 4 while Italy remain in third.
Romania 1-1 Northern Ireland
Scorers: Ciolacu 38'; Maxwell 33'
Northern Ireland moved up to second in League B Group 1 despite a 1-1 draw with Romania.
The visitors took the lead midway during the first half courtesy of Danielle Maxwell firing into the far corner from a surging run towards goal.
But the advantage lasted just five minutes as Mihael Ciolacu hooked the ball home after Rachel Dugdale and Ellie Mason were involved in a defensive mix-up.
Greece 0-4 Ireland
Scorers: Sheva 49', Carusa 61, Stapleton 74', Barrett 90+3'
Ireland produced a second-half blitz to rack up a 3-0 win over Greece.
Substitute Marissa Sheva delivered a breakthrough just minutes from the interval with a low shot which took a deflection off Eleni Markou to wrongfoot Zoi Nasi.
Kyra Carusa doubled their lead shortly after the hour mark by plundering the rebound from Sasi parrying Leanne Kiernan's initial strike from a corner.
Carla Ward's side ramped up a comprehensive second 45 minutes in the closing stages when Jessie Stapleton flicked home captain Katie McCabe's corner.
Deep in added time, Amber Barrett rounded things off with a low strike to commemorate her 50th cap for the Girls in Green in fine fashion.
