So finally time to upgrade, been rocking my epic 4g touch (Galaxy s1 slider phone) for far too long. Its miniscule memory lets me have very limited apps and msot new apps arent even available on this damn thing
I was looking at galaxy s4 as it gets all the talk and hype and noticed iut was still rather expensive. Then I googled top andoirds of 2013 and the nexus 5 and moto x were the top 2. Salaxy was like #6. Surprised me.
So then i found myself on a two d=ay bender of articles, youtube videos and etc comparing the two.
Basically they are identical, the nexus is bigger, has a much stronger engine and is done by google so always gets updates vs getting cut off or waiting a long time. All those things point to get that phone.
Although, the nexus has a much larger frame.
The moto x somehow has the same performance ratings on tons of tests, deeper blacks and awesome motorola features that they plugged into a stock android setup.
Based on all of the research I went moto x even though it was tempting to go with the nexus 5. I dont want to be on an old operating system that is useless again but I couldnt pass on a smaller frame and better features.
The moto x was built while motorola was owned by google so updates were strong however now google sold motorola and the future will be unknown. KitKat 4.4.2 is already available on it so I should be good anyway, as long as it can maintain and improve and stay SOLID for 2 years this time vs being useful for 6 months and then stuck in gridlock I will be very happy.
