there's no way to market this film without it looking like whispy-run-on-the-mill comedic trash. It's a well-worn idea with actors who seem to make lame comedies (Kinnear and Leoni), but I saw this yesterday and I was pretty surprised at how Gervais and, well, Kinear and Leoni were able to elevate this story higher than it should have been.

if you like Gervais and are scared he'll be, I guess euthanized in an American mainstream movie, don't be. The pics a little schmaltzy, but overall pretty enjoyable, funny and even moving at the end.
