I want to have confidence in our coaching staff. I don’t believe you have to go 0-17 to rebuild. None of this matters if Monti messes up the picks or the coaching staff can’t coach. Their competence is what is going to change this franchise, not draft picks. I have a long history of watching the Cardinals squander top 10 NFL draft picks.

Although the sample size is small(one), it appears that Monti's first top ten draft choice is legit. Everything I've seen and heard about Paris Johnson indicates that he's going to be a quality tackle in the NFL. Obviously, the jury is still out on both Monti and Gannon, and nothing but time will tell us anything different.

I was watching both our game and the 49er game, us on stream, them on tv. When they updated our game the announcers in the 49ers game were incredulous. Break up the Cards, how in the world are the Giants getting blown out by that team. For an NFL broadcast it was pretty unusual, I know they weren't doing OUR game but the level of that team has the least talent in the NFL in what they were saying is something you don't often hear in an NFL broadcast.

So I do have some hope that the coaches are doing SOME things right, but I sure hope the 2nd half collapses are the result of lack of talent and not lack of adjustments because when we DO have talent, I don't want to see that.

The coaching staff used smoke and mirrors to get us to 28-7 but it was too easy to shut down our tight end passing game, and the defensive line stunts and stuff stopped working, especially after Watkins went out. I guess we can tell ourselves that Russ.

Also, Z. Collins and Gardek disappeared in the 2nd half. We need a legit pass-rushing threat.

coming from a Kyler defender.... classic. Cards dont need another spoiled midget, he is listed 6'1 which means he is 5'11. Williams is a hair taller and probably even more spoiled. Plus that last SC QB to come out that was truly WOS was Palmer. Its easy to look good surrounded with 5* at every position. Sorry if you cant see it but Maye is the better prospect.

Thomas played three fewer snaps than Gardeck. BJ Ojulari played just 13 snaps.

You must not pay attention to CFB much then, because Drake Maye has been one of the most talked about players in college football in sometime and scouts rate him as a generational type talent.

He doesn't have the talent around him (and money) that USC has, but he actually makes NFL type plays on the regular. Even if he was on the Cardinals right now, he'd have more talent than he does at Chapel Hill.

This has been going on for years - even when we are a playoff team. How about when we were 11-5 in 2014 and Arians was our coach? The next season we went 13-3, but still had to use silent counts at home because of the noise from the opposing fans in our stadium.

“Wish it wouldn’t happen right now,” Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said. “We would hope that the visiting team wouldn’t get that many tickets and have to use a silent count at home.”

“What cost him was crowd noise,” Arians said. “He couldn’t hear early in the game because the crowd noise got us at home.”

They “have way too many tickets,” Arians said.

Winning doesn't make much difference in this town. Just means that sellout fans can sell their tickets for even more to opposing fans. (Yes, there are ticket brokers, too, but there are still plenty of sellout fans).

They didn't lose because of competence. They lost because injuries forced them to play their starting DT's 74% of the time. And their linebackers and safeties nearly 100%.

Defense was just gassed by midway through Q3 and there were no options with multiple guys out.

Ojulari was out most of camp and had one preseason game in Game 3. He's being worked in slowly because of that.

Yup. We were 7-0 in 2021 and the home game vs the Packers was a see of Packers fans. In fact rumours were that Green didn't hear the audible at the end of the game when driving for the win that resulted in an INT and lost us the game.

"If you build it, they will come" is a BS reason anyway. If you buy the tickets you go to the games. If you're only going to go if you feel sufficiently entertained then don't buy a season ticket.

The true fans, the ones that will always have my respect, are those that go to every game no matter what.

Aye, I’m fine with 2-3 wins(though I’m worried about Chicago being worse than us. They look atrocious). I just don’t think other people here don’t see it that way.

It will be hard for the Cardinals to recover from a loss like this. Good teams can because they know they how to win and games like this happen.

With teams still learning how to win, it saps their confidence. I don't think the Cardinals can play much better than they did in the first half against the Giants.

Following the Cardinals and ASU will be brutal for their fans unless they follow the game within the game looking for the hidden gems among the players.

I mean, I'm busy Krang and I don't watch the ACC that much no. And I get that Maye is being hyped nationally right now.

Also, I value your opinion on the college guys, and I'm not saying it's impossible he goes #1 or #2 in the next draft. I see that he's got talent.

But the "he doesn't have the talent around him" argument is dubious, and you might want to hedge your bet on him just a little.

Like I said, still a lot of football left to play this year so we'll see what happens.
