Defensive end Justin Tuck was inactive for the New York Giants on Sunday, another blow for a short-handed defense as it faced the Washington Redskins in the season opener. Tuck missed most of practice last week with a lingering neck injury. Defensive end Osi Umemyiora had previously been ruled out with a knee injury, as had rookie cornerback Prince Amukamara, who has a broken foot.
