Giants DE Umenyiora injures left knee (AP)

Pro Bowl defensive end Osi Umenyiora hurt his left knee and was carted off the field in the second quarter of the New York Giants' annual preseason game against the New York Jets on Saturday night. Umenyiora was getting an X-ray and the extent of the injury was not immediately known. The 26-year-old, six-year veteran could not put any weight on his leg.
