Giants sign Bill Hall, put Sanchez on DL (AP)

The San Francisco Giants have signed infielder Bill Hall after placing starting second baseman Freddy Sanchez on the 15-day disabled list with a dislocated right shoulder. Hall joined the Giants on Saturday before their game against Cincinnati. Hall had been released last week by Houston. He batted .224 with two homers and 13 RBIs in 46 games with the Astros.
