I cannot believe there is no Gilmore Girls thread...I searched the entire forum...nothing. I thought there was one.

Anyways, yeah, everyone thinks it's a chicks show, and it probably kind of is, but the writing and comedy are so brilliantly written, it's amazing.

New writers this season though, the creators left...we'll have to see how it goes.

It premiers tonight!

If BIM can admit to watching the Cheetah Girls/The Disney Channel, I can admit to watching this show on occasion (when House is a rerun). I'm not a huge fan but basically know what's going on. I agree with jenna that Rory was pretty annoying last season.

So season is off to a rocky start, although last night's felt more like "Gilmore Girls" than the first two episodes...

Good storylines so far, and last night was funny...

Interesting how it got back to normal again when her parents were on the show.

You gotta love them.

MESA! :thud:
i LOVE this show. while it has chick-ish elements, it definitely is not just for chicks. i have to say though, rory better step it up this season. she pissed me off no end last season. she's all whiny and annoying now.

My daughters & I just got seasons 1 & 2 on dvd for Christmas. We started watching tonight. We really liked it--we have a similar relationship, so it's been fun so far. I'm disappointed to hear that Rory turns whiny & annoying. I hope she's snapped out of it, although I'll have to watch it to get to the other side (if there is one). How many seasons has it been around now?

The show ended tonight and it was a very good, fitting finale.

This last year has sucked in terms of writing, but the previous ones were great and it's very, very good. Underrated, but good.

Definitely got better as it went on this season, but the dialog is still incredibly unrealistic. Funny and clever, but that nonstop talking just wasn't real. And the show has always been like that.

FYI, I have to watch the show since I work for the network. :D

Great finale, it seemed appropriate to end it where it started. I am happy in a sad sort of way that they opted out of a return short season, the Gillmores left us at just the right time. They gave us everything we needed :)

I also had to watch the show, but because I was addicted.

Just finished up the series last night. I'm really gonna miss this show :( Even though the 7th season didnt have the spark that the other seasons had, I still thought the writers did the best the could. I liked how they wrapped up the Lorelai/Chris storyline. And I'm surprisingly okay with the Rory/Logan storyline. I never really liked him anyway.

I'll definitely be starting over from season 1, but just wont watch so many episode in a row like I did this first time around. :D

Overall, this show was pretty cool. Glad I watched it (a couple years late of course :))

Tell me you liked Jess the best, my wife never understood that :)

The last season didn't have the creator of the show around, so that did kind of suck, but I thought it ended well and the finale was perfect.

Dean treated her best, but was an absolute DUD when it came to personality and knowledge of books, etc. Jess was a complete ASS to Rory in the earlier years, but thankfully got a bit better when we last saw him. And I always viewed Logan as a pretentious rich kid who knew about journalism and business. While I dont think any of those boys were perfect for Rory, if I had to pick one, I'd probably go with Jess. But older Jess, not stupid mad at the word younger Jess.

My wife and I never watched this show while it was on. All of a sudden she started watching it and DVR'd every episode. I tried ignoring it while doing work on my laptop but somehow it pulled me in and I started watching it too. The dialog is quick and witty (almost too quick for me). She call it Gabmore Girls.

Gilmore Girls Limited-Series Revival Set at Netflix — This Is Not a Drill

https://www.yahoo.com/tv/gilmore-girls-limited-series-revival-213045068.html

Sources confirm that Netflix has closed a deal with Warner Bros. for a limited-series revival of Gilmore Girls penned by series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and exec producer Daniel Palladino.

Although negotiations with the cast are only now beginning, I’m told all of the major players — most notably Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop and Scott Patterson — are expected back for the continuation. Additionally, per multiple insiders, the revival will consist of four 90-minute episodes/mini-movies.

Reps for Warner Bros. and Netflix declined to comment for this story.
