For three years now I have listened to the majority of the board trash Beanie regularly. I can think of about 5 posters (and maybe four of them are different accounts of Cbus') who had his back. Yesterday he showed he neither sucks nor is soft and was BY FAR the best player on the field IMHO. The man was an animal out there and nobody here is talking about it.

I think the only times he had little or no gain was when everyone on the planet knew they were going to run

That's not going to happen. People on this board will criticize more than praise.

Actually, we talked about it in several other threads. He had a great day and it was a nice reminder of why we drafted him in the place. Nobody said he didn't have talent. String a bunch of games together like yesterday and a lot of us will be dragging out our Beanie jerseys from the back of the closet. BUT, don't expect us all to pronounce him great simply because he's finally had a very good day.

LOL

I love Beanie - heck, I wanted to draft him waaaay back in the day.

When he's rolling, he's a beast. He's a load to bring down, and he loves to lay the hit on the DBs who come up to tackle him. I love that.

The guy was amazing and I don't suspect that this will be the last time we see games like this from him this year.

Looked as good as some of Us expected he would if just given the opportunity! Been saying since we drafted him to give him the bulk of the carries that's when he accels, when he can wear down a defense and bust a few longer runs. But our pass happy coach still doesn't know how or when to use him. And the end of the game yesterday runs him on first down gets nine then proceeds to go pass Inc. Pass again sack which put us in the fourth down to lose the game. What the he'll is wrong with our coach? How on earth do you not hand to beanie having a career day on 2nd and one, or even 3rd and one? Stupid coaching has lost these games IMO mostly playcalling!

I am a fan.....which is why I was amazed to see us call a pass play on 3rd and 4 and protecting a lead....again....why do we not use out 5 yard a carry RB??
we of course threw incomplete, and punted.....I swear, this sorry ass coaching staff feels the need to throw on third for anything more than 2 yards.

Love the potential of Beanie and he played really well yesterday. He is physical...especially when he gets to the 2nd/3rd level.

Anyone else notice that he slips a lot...seems to lose his footing quite a bit?

I agree, there is a saying, "who is more a fool, the fool? or the fool who hires him"....our staff has increasing levels of idiocy on up the line....

Not sure where it stops....but the beast needs to be cut off at the head and bled out.............I mean, cheese and forkin rice,....right now it looks like we are the only team in football history to make it to the Super Bowl on accident.

I'm excited he's finally the starter, and not splitting carries on this team. He was getting positive yards almost every carry, averaging 5+ yards/carry. Last I heard he was leading the league in yards after carries and touchdowns.

Some where in that 1st quarter he got pissed. Started to run downhill, and then "bam" the guy couldn't be stopped.

I was very impressed with Wells.

I'll have to say I haven't been very impressed by him until yesterday. He was a beast and if he plays like this the rest of the year, he is single handledly going to win some games for us. Great job Beanie!!!!

not the first time for Beanie....couple weeks back he had 96 yds on 14 carries.....may have been a different game if he had 25 carries instead of 14....he has all the makings of a featured, pound the crap out of the defense NFL running back.......but he needs more exposure,...he got beat up and bruised,lol....probably because he had not been used more than 7-8 carries a game since college

How awesome was it to see helmets fly! He really is putting some hurt on some people. I feel bad for him that he won't get any national pub for his performance yesterday. I watched the highlights on NFL Gameday. If we had won that game, they'd be forced to focus on Beanie. Instead it was the Giant comeback. And rightfully so. They pulled it off. It's funny how that works though. You get the tiniest window of opportunity to be recognized. Cardinals win. It's Beanie FTW! Cardinals lose. Beanie who?

Best part was on the postgame interview with Calvisi:

(not word-for-word)
"What percentage were you at today?"

"I don't know, but it was hurting real bad"

and he still put up monster numbers and destroyed defenders.

It just took a year of me posting "Beanie is Done" for the Duckjake jinx from last season to wear off.

But Beanie still trips easily. And that has been the major complaint. Not that he wasn't any good at all.

Loved the performance and you would be hearing far more about it on this board had we won the game. The way we lossed overshadows everything.

Still sick about it.

I think people have been critical of Beanie because they felt he was wasting potential through correctable mistakes. But when he's been on, he gets almost a visceral positive reaction. I don't think any Cards fan fails to get excited about a power running game.

Anyway, it was great to see.

Everyone expected Beanie to tear it up from day one and were impatient IMO. He is rounding into a very good player IMO. If he keeps this up, we have a keeper for some time to come.

Agreed.

If he could ever correct his inability to avoid shoestring tackles.....Beanie would be Jim Brown incarnate.

He still slipped several times and left a lot on the field in this game too.

I think this was mentioned in the game thread but what is wrong with the field.? Players have been slipping all year. Fox even showed a close up of the turf and it looked like a station at a golf driving range with all the divots.
