Glendale might get a final 4?

Watch for the NCAA to award a Final Four to Cardinals Stadium in Glendale, Az., if not this summer then in the next few years. (The earliest available date is 2012.)

The NCAA desperately wants the event to return to the west for the first time since 1995, and as the only domed football facility in the region, Cardinals Stadium provides the opportunity.

That would be awesome - not that I could afford tickets, but it needs to be out West every now and then.

They've been discussing 2012 as a Final Four possibility since construction first began at the stadium. There's no reason not to with the weather still being nice. My biggest concern would be the Bidwills filing a lawsuit to change the from the 'NCAA Final Four' to the 'Bowties and Ice Cream Basketball Challenge.'

I think it would be cool for the Final Four to be in Glendale. It would be good for the area and it would be nice to see a Final Four that far west since they are always in the Midwest/South.
