God protects His "kids"....Break-in this morning...

Wanted to share with my Cardinal family. My wife & I woke up to find an intruder in our bedroom about 5 A.M. We heard a loud sound and it woke us up...He had kicked in the door. I wasn't sure what was going to happen but trusted God to protect us. NOTHING confrontational took place with him...maybe our being so calm, "calmed" him. Cops came pretty quick and took him away...turned out he was just drunk/disoriented. He had some "lame" story about seeing some guys trying to break-in so he was checking on us. It didn't add up. I told him...DON'T mess with God's kids cuz' nothing good will come of it.

Anyways, we're OKAY! Just a reminder of the crazy world that we're living in and that God is with us when we're in danger/trouble.

If you don't have a dog, now you know why so many of us do. I got broken into one night also, and couldn't sleep after that until I got a dog. Will never be without my trusty best friend ever again. I sleep like a baby now with dog sleeping beside me. I not only don't lock my doors now, I sleep with the patio door open a few inches so my dog can go outside if she needs to.

Glad you're and yours are okay.

That drunk thing used to happen to a lot of my neighbors when I lived a block or two from ASU. Goofy kids who couldn't find their way home. Lucky none of them ever got shot.

Awesome NSDF. Thanking God that no one was hurt, because if you or him were strapped that could have gotten ugly. My biggest fear is someone kicking my door in at 4 in the morning. Just the sound alone would likely give me a damn heart attack!
