First episode was alright.

I dont understand Todd Hoffman. Failed miserably twice on a small scale. Hey make it 10x bigger and youll be successful! Wow.

I really like the 2nd Indian River Claim with the 2nd team. Get away from Hoffman. Dudes a moron.


Calling it now, Dakota Fred and his jerk son will fail.


I like Parker and His Grandpa John being more central characters. One thing I dont understand, why do they think they can keep mining the Gold Nugget mine? Theyve been there for 30 years, hey, Gold is not an infinite resource. They REALLY need to find a new claim.

OT: This "Jungle Gold" looks friggin ridiculous. Ive never seen so much canned drama in a show. Garbage. Thisll be worse than Berring Sea Gold, which is impressive bcause that show sucked too. Haha, Ok, Ive been watching this for 10 minutes, this is the dumbest, fake dramatic show ever. These guys are jerks and morons.

Realize this thread was from October, but the show is heading toward it's finale now.

I missed last weeks show so I'll catch up on it this Friday.

I like all of the crews with the exception of Todd Hoffman. He is a flat out idiot. Talks a huge game, inevitably fails, then hems & haws like a jackass when it fails. Then something happens and he becomes the inspirational leader again talking about American Dream, having faith in his plan, etc.

He comes across as a terrible leader. Every year they have some boneheaded mistake that makes them look like incompetent boobs. This year he takes a risk on the trommel thing and it shows up 6-8 weeks late.

The other team seems pretty good though. Looks like Dakota Fred will be the one to hit the pay dirt this year though.


I agree about Bering Sea Gold being bad. It's just boring to me and the drama they try to put into it just kills the show. None of the "characters" are likeable.

Lastly, the Jungle Gold show was terrible. TERRIBLE. You're right, manufactured drama and the guys were jerks. Leave your family in the USA to go find gold in a hostile African nation thousands of miles away and on top of it, you seem incompetent when you get there? Sounds like a great secure financial plan.

I frickin hate Todd....He's frickin terrible.

you frickin hit the nail on the head. he says frickin way too much.

you had this season with him taking apart his old trommel for no other reason than he was tired of seeing it. and the previous season when he forgot to make a payment on the land he was renting. it got swiped out from under him and he hemmed and hawed about that.

when that happened i felt bad for the guy....but i have now come to realize he's just a stupid oaf.

his crew doesnt get the gold BECAUSE of him, they get the gold DESPITE him. both he and his dad are dumb as dirt.

when they voted to kick Todd's friend James off the crew i saw the reasons why. i'm now to the point where Todd is the next one that needs to go. his team has found no gold BECAUSE OF HIM.
