Byrnes won't send him down because he signed Young to that big contract last year.

Strange... and here I was thinking that Melvin was the problem... hmmmm.... :bang:

Why are you attempting to correlate Melvin's piss poor managing to a terribly slumping player?

Because I have been all over Young for 2 full seasons now, while virtually everyone on this board has slammed me and said, "NO, it's not Young's fault that Melvin didn't know how to handle him....".

You can continue to claim Melvin was a "piss-poor" manager, and who knows, maybe he was. However, with Byrnes as the GM and players like Young, Byrnes and Snyder to deal with, and with Webby down and out, I do not believe getting rid of Melvin was warranted...

Now, continue to bash Young please as after 2 FULL seasons of doing so myself, I've grown tired of it...

So what's the deal?

0 for 5 with 5 k's. Wow... If they want me to, I can do that for them for $100,000.00 a year. I would also be willing to bring the treats to every game free of charge. They do still do that in the big leagues right?

5 ks is the "Texas Star."

Rarer than a no-hitter.

What is 6 strikeouts, isn't it the platinum sombrero or something like that? I know Geoff Jenkins is in that club.

5 K's is the platinum sombrero or Olympic rings. 6 K's is the 'horn (after Sam Horn).

Traber said it was called the Texas Star. That's what I get for listening to Traber.

Shocking that him and Byrnes are tight off the field.

New contracts for these guys only meant spring training is 365 days a year.

I would be suprised if Young isn't in AAA tomorrow. It's pathetic... he couldn't even lay down a bunt yesterday, it's hard to watch

They pinch hit Jon Garland for Chris Young. I've never seen that.... a pitching hitting for an un-injured position player. He struck out.... Young could have done that!

Again, I think he's in AAA after tonight

We are flying to Oakland so a little pit stop in Reno couldn't be that difficult. And leave Jon Rauch on the tarmac while we're there as well.
