Quinten Post showcased his perimeter-based skillset during the Golden State Warriors 117-114 victory over the Toronto Raptors on March 20. The rookie big man came off the bench to score 18 points on 6-of-9 shooting from deep.

The 7-foot center has been knocking down 3-point shots with ease this season, averaging 43.1% from the perimeter on 4.3 attempts per game. As such, his performance against the Raptors was nothing new for Warriors fans. However, it did get the attention of other fans from around the league.

During his postgame news conference, veteran forward Draymond Green spoke glowingly of Post's performance and the potential he has to develop into a core piece of the Warriors rotation moving forward.

“I told Joe Lacob in training camp, like ‘Joe, I’m telling you, this kid can really help us. He shoots the ball well, extremely well. He’s a good position defender, and he ain’t soft at all,'” Green said. “…I know Joe was looking at me like I was crazy when I told him he was gonna have an impact and he was in the G League. But, he made his way up here, and he’s been a mainstay in the rotation. He’s been a key piece to what we’re doing. No surprise there.”

Post signed a two-year contract with the Warriors. The second year is a team option. Based on Post's performances this season, not only will he be sticking around for the 2025-26 campaign, he may force the front office into offering a contract extension in the coming months, that's how impressive he's been this season.
