Should be a good game. I think SIU gave us good prep for UCLA style ball. Those guys are tough, by far the best team in the state *cough Weber sucks cough*

I would have wished Kansas good luck, but then you had to put that little dig in...:nono:

Kansas was lucky to escape SIU, which is the best team this year in Illinois.

Good luck to you too, but not too much luck. :D

Kansas' guards scare me, every game UCLA lost this year the gameplan was the same, spread the court to avoid all the double teams, and let guards go one on one, often against Shipp.

Kansas regularly has 3 guards out there, 2 of whom are essentially PG's, so it's going to be tough for UCLA to put Afflalo on Rush they're almost going to have to put Shipp on him. No way can Shipp guard Robinson or Chalmers or Collins.

Should be a great game, Kansas' bigs are better offensive players than UCLA's but UCLA's bigs have a way of negating that on defense, ask Aaron Gray guarantee he's having nightmares of Mata.

Go Bruins.

Man never seen that many steals and turnovers, but I love to see Afflalo and Shipp making shots.

7 turnovers by Collison, 5 by Luc, those Kansas guards were everywhere. Again another team that misses a lot of easy shots inside against UCLA. some were in fact easy, layups and dunks, but what Bilas misses is that EVERY team UCLA plays does that. UCLA challenges every shot, and their bigs are so good at taking charges that it scares guys they're too worried about the charge and forget about making the shot.

Huge plays by Westbrook again, Shipp's 3 before the half, and huge shots by afflalo and Collison to beat the shot clock. Howland does that so often that while it drives me nuts, his kids get used to taking shots to beat the clock, and it pays off.

Not sure what to hope for now, Florida killed us last year, but Oregon is smoking hot and has been for a few weeks now.

Wow, what a wild and crazy game. I would never have imagined that the Bruins could turn the ball over 24 times and still win a game.

Although there were over 40 turnovers in the game, it was actually well played. Kansas didn't shoot a high percentage, but I think they had 17 assists on 23 baskets.

Afflalo finally showed up big in a huge game. He has a habit of struggling in big games, but he was awesome against Kansas. Hopefully he can keep up the great shooting against Florida or Oregon.

I'm hoping the Bruins get Oregon because it would be cool to see 2 Pac-10 teams in the Final Four. Plus UCLA has proven that they can beat Oregon this year and they proved last year that they couldn't handle Florida's bigs.

Congratulations and good luck......I will be cheering for the Bruins to win it all. Fight On Bruins!

Huge game by UCLA. Best team in the final 8 so far. No more knocking Howland for me. He uptempoed a bit and completely outcoached Self.

Unbelievable defensive battle.

Wish I could change my picks. I see UCLA winning it all now.

Florida is going to take a near perfect game from UCLA. We all saw last year their Bigs were too good for the doubles, and Green just killed Farmar off the dribble setting bigs up for dunks. Hopefully Collison can stay in front of Green, and UCLA can play the bigs better. But then what do you do on the other end UCLA only scored 57, 3-19 from 3, 36% overall, Brewer locked down Afflalo. UCLA's best offensive player last year against UF was Farmar, who's on the Laker bench now.

The one stat that decided the game last year wsa turnovers, Florida had SIX in 40 minutes, just incredible against a defense like UCLA plays. NO turnovers means no transition baskets and UCLA just couldn't score. Hopefully we'll force some turnovers this year and get some easy baskets. Shipp could be a huge factor, if UF plays Brewer on Afflalo again, I look for UCLA to post up Shipp against Humphrey. But then I looked for that against Robinson from Kansas and they never posted him.

UCLA is a much better defensive team this year than they were last year. Not to compare a slow-footed Aaron Gray to the other bigs in the Final Four (other than UCLA's of course), but the Bruin doubling in the Pitt game was better than a lot of NBA teams. And Collison and Afflalo have made every big shot all season so I don't expect them to wilt against Florida like last year. UCLA has had a nice draw so far sor their skill set, but the Final Four presents some tough matchups for them considering they're have to beat two teams with premier frontcourts.

The interesting stat of the final 4. in terms of points per 100 possessions, Georgetown is #1 in the country, Florida #2, and Ohio State #4, UCLA is #17. So while not horrible it's clear UCLA has the weakest offense of the final 4 teams largely because their bigs don't score much.

Alot of the defensive numbers were better last year, FG% defense, points per possession, but the difference with this years team is more steals which has led to more fastbreak points on offense. I think that's why we've seen so many big 10-12 point runs by UCLA all year, they get from defense to offense much better this year with Collison at PG.

Collison had a horrible game against FLorida last year23 minutes 0 points 3 turnovers, no steals, I'm sure he's dying to get a chance to redeem himself as is the whole team. I hope Noah continues to talk it up all week. Yesterday he said while the rest of the guys in the final 4 are good players, they're "not Gator boys and only Gator boys can win this."

I still say they have the best team and UCLA will have to play lights out to win but I'm hoping they will.
