● Diamondbacks relievers Brandon Lyon and Oscar Villarreal looked sharp in their rehab outings Thursday.

Lyon (strained elbow) started and threw 13 pitches, eight for strikes, in a perfect inning. Villarreal (strained rotator cuff) followed with a perfect second inning, striking out one and needing only eight pitches.

It seemed like Ortiz at first was just trying to throw his pitches, but he wasn't as concerned with what happened.

His last full inning of work he looked like he was actually trying to pitch.

Well Lyon did indeed look pretty good, though this is facing AAA hitting and was the 1st inning of the game. I figure he needs a few more outings to get fully back on track, then maybe just maybe with a little help **trade** our bullpen will fall into place and our offense will **trade** too.....

...by the second inning i was enjoying thirsty thursdays and couldnt quite concentrate on the game so much.
