Good riddance, Tim Duncan

A few years ago, Duncan was one of my favorite non-Suns in the entire league. But his act is really wearing thin on me. His game sort of seems to plod these days, and he doesn't have nearly the versatility that he used to. In the game tonight, he had zero rebounds in the first half. And he complains about every call or non-call, on both ends of the court. He's still a great player, obviously, but it's hard to consider him in the top five at this point.

And what a relief that Flopinobili is gone. Not only is he annoying as hell, but that guy can flat out score when the game gets tight.

Gawd I know. It actually started for me a couple few years ago. I was estatic when he beat the Lakers a few years back to de-reign those guys, but now...uggghhhh.

He's gotten so many calls go his way over the years I can't believe his reaction when he actually gets called for one. When he grips to the officials it's truly a pathetic display of a spoiled "but I never foul" goldenboy who gets 90% of calls in his favor . Gawd!!! Stop it Timmy.

It's so weird, because Duncan used to be SO stoic. He would just show up, play hard, never showed any emotion. They could lose a game or win a game and expression on his face would be the same. Never wasted time complaining to the refs... what happened to this guy?

Did you hear the announcer say that Duncan and Mavs coach Del Harris were in a shouting match in one of the games about Harris telling him he was to good of a player to complain so much. How true! Too bad he does this.

Watching last nights game against Dallas, made me really happy the flop masters are gone I was mad at the refs calls and it wasn't even the suns they were playing, every flop went the spurs way, even Finley got in on the act and it was a bad act at that! If the spurs win that game I seriously would of hoped we lost last night, Nothing more frustrating to me in life as to watch the spurs get call after call to win games. Good ridance!

I am sorry to say this, and maybe some of you just feel like this is a new thing lately, but Tim has ALWAYS whined about every call. He is an amazing player, and seems to be one of the nicest guys off the court in the NBA, but the comlaining has always been there.

I used to get so frustrated watching him in the different series against the Lakers, when he'd get that 'who me?' look on his face and stand there with both of his hands out and his palms facing up after every singe call that went against him. I am glad that others are staring to notice it as well.

Tim Duncan is a GREAT player, period. ALOT of stars in the NBA whine about calls, its a cultural thing. Players whine because it works against the refs, and it works alot better if a superstar whines. Duncan was #1 is FG% for the playoffs in the NBA this year, he was amazing. HOWEVER, last night he was getting away with over-the-back rebounding fouls at least 3 times in critical situations to keep the comeback going. It sickened me to watch as other spurs got away with hacking the shooter(Devis Harris) while the whistles were blowing at the other end for ticky tack fouls. It was almost as if the comeback was aided and Bavetted by the refs. I'm glad the Mavs won, because the calls were almost entirely going the spurs way, and it would have looked as if the home court advantage was excessive. Oh yeah, and all the Dirk bashers (myself included) get used to hearing that he is a top 5 player, because he IS!!

Now the suns need to cook up a plan for the Mavs, and it better be a good one. I think KT will be back as the Mavs stiffs(Dampier, Diop) have no footspeed.

Yeah and he said it in a great way, something like "Well it's gonna be too bad when we beat you" I think it was before Amare was out for the season if I remember though.

he was a complete a-hole. did anyone else see when he was shaking his head while the reporter was asking him a question then when the reporter repeated the question he shook his head and said "this means yes".

There is no excuse for Popovich's attitude during that press conference. Sure he was pissed off at Ginobili for comitting a stupid foul, and he didn't really want to talk about it... but in a leadership role you've got to have the professionalism to answer tough questions in a tactful manner. The Spurs fans (whoever they are) deserve an answer even if the sportswriters do not.

To me, there are so many distasteful aspects of the Spurs organization, and Popovich has always been one of them.
