Okay maybe I'm exagerating a bit. But Googs did outplay Brown tonight. I'm really posting this because so many people are talking about Brown as a possible trade option simply because he managed to string together 2 good games... this entire season. I'm sorry but this guy is not worth the risk until he proves to be more consistent. Same for Curry and Chandler. After 3 years in the NBA not a damn one of them can string together a group of decent games. I do not want to see any of these guys in a Suns uniform if it means giving up a high draft pick or quality player. Hell Lampe has shown more potential in 2 games this year than these guys have in 3 years. If we're working off of potential here than I'll gladly stick with Lampe.

Googs VS. Brown:
I don't know if they were matched up in the game but box scores show that they both started at Power Forward.

Brown 29 minutes/0-2FG/0-4FT/3RB/1ST/1AS/0 PTS
Googs 24 minutes/2-6FG/1-2FT/7RB/1ST/2AS/5 PTS

and in other games:
This was in a losing effort against the Nets without Kidd and Martin! Pathetic!
Curry 35 minutes/4-15FG/2-2FT/3RB/1BK/3AS/12 PTS
Chandler 23 minutes/1-2FG/0-0FT/6RB/1ST/1BK/0 AS/2 PTS

And against the Suns tonight Z goes down with an injury and guess what other highly touted high school bigman with 3 years of NBA experience fails to step up?

Diop 9 minutes gets 2 points and 3 rebounds (which is right about his pathetic season average)

After 3 years I think we know what we have in all these guys.

So my point is that I hope the Suns don't trade a good draft pick for an underachieving straight to the NBA from high school bigman with 3 years of unimpressive play.

If you can't outplay Googs than you're not much of a player. After 3 years if you haven't seen the potential or upside I don't think it's going to spring up dramatically in year 4 or 5 or whenever.

Not Zarko - Cleveland's center: Zydrunas Ilgauskas. His nose had an interaction with Amare's elbow. The elbow won. :trout:

I agree! I don't want to bring some one in that we need to develop. We already have enough of those. I'm fine with drafting, but no stupid trade's please...

Unfortunately when you start a topic and make a comment that everyone agrees with, then don't get upset if they don't write about it. I'm not sure anyone really thinks that Curry, K Browne, Chandler, or Diop are any great bargains. All are overpaid based on their productivity to date.

Their teams expended a lot to get them, so they are unlikely to just give them away. All four will be restricted free agents summer of 2005, which means that if one of them were to have a breakout season he could walk or force an unreasonably high contract.

Well George than I don't think you've been reading this board. I don't think "most" are in agreement with my view. This board is riddled with trade proposals involving Brown, Curry or Chandler. And many invlove the Suns high 1st round draft pick. So yes there are many people on this board that would trade for these 3 year underachievers.

I suppose you could do a poll.

Brown and Chandler have had injury problems. Curry and Diop have conditioning problems. Curry has proven he can score, but he is considered lazy and very hard to coach. Diop has been pretty much a bust so far.

Would you take any of them if they came because their team wanted to dumpt their salary? Maybe, it would depend on who else would be available for the same cap hit. Would I give up a high draft pick? I doubt it.
