Taking nothing away from Gortat's dunk but I think he hit Thomas on the upper arm or shoulder on the way down which made him stagger.

that's because he didn't destroy the world. If he did that to Dwight Howard, I could see where someone could get excited about it... but really? an entire thread because our Center dunked over a complete and utter bust PF who's 2 inches smaller then him? Man... if that doesn't speak volumes about how poopy this season is, i don't know what does.

seriously... it was a dunk by a big guy over a smaller guy. that's what SHOULD happen on that play.

again... that was a play where a player was LITERALLY JUMPED OVER. Does that happen every day? No. A Center dunking on a 6'9 somewhat small PF does.

You're bringing up dunks that are out of the norm and continuing to ask why a dunk that happens on a nightly basis isn't being celebrated?

if you can't see the difference between someone getting leap-frogged/one of the nastiest dunks I've ever seen v. a Center dunking on a smaller guy, i don't know what to tell you.

I mean, I watched the dunk again and it's even less impressive. It's not even like a full body on body contact stuff. Thomas is late getting over, and gets dunked on... okay... nice dunk, but thread worthy and bringing up Griffin and LeBron in the convo?

Nice dunk, especially since it involved a guy who doesn't usually play above the rim. However, it's nowhere close to the dunks we've seen from Amare before his injuries and Griffin has at least one a game better than Gortat's best.

Agreed, not saying this dunk was amazing- jaw dropping. It was a nice facial dunk though , not "pedestrian."
