In the past, the Cardinals traditionally have not signed players during their visits. Graves implied some of these players could have deals signed before leaving Arizona.

"I wouldn't discount our effort to do that," said Graves. "If it makes sense from a standpoint that we can get an agreement on most terms with the agent, then we will just go ahead and try to make an effort to do that. We are in a position where depending on our level of excitement about the player, we are going to drive to make something happen relatively soon."

Other players Graves revealed on his list included Tennessee's defensive tackle Robaire Smith and 49ers corner Ahmed Plummer

There is change in the air, Things will happen. I hope I'm right, you goota believe.

I like those 2 other players on the list R Smith and A Plummer when do hey come in?

Also notice Graves talked about Garcia and Graves said DG said he wasnt interested not we.

There are several solid CBs out there what about Winfield? Bryant etc. What about those good Gs out there. There are lots of good FAs out there. Only a few were eaten up today. I loved Wade! And Hou signed him. The time to strike is now. We know they liked Villarial and they lost him - wake up call if there ever was one.

A six-year contract worth $26.3 million that includes an $8 million signing bonus.

26.3 / 6 = $4.38 million

8/ 6 = $1.33 million

4.38 + 1.33 = $5.71 million

That's alot.

FULLBACK ADDED TO THE ITINERARY..... Chris Villarrial's visit off

The Arizona Cardinals have announced scheduled visits for three unrestricted free agents for Thursday, March 3. Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Eric Hicks, Indianapolis Colts cornerback David Macklin, and fullback Obafemi Ayanbadejo will be the first players of this year's free agency period to visit with the Cardinals front office and coaching staff.

During Hicks six-year career with the Chiefs, he amassed 184 solo tackles, 54 assists, 35.5 sacks, and 8 passes defensed. His five sacks during the 2003 campaign moved him up to the sixth position on the Chiefs all-time sack leaders record.

Macklin, a third-round draft choice by the Colts in 2000, started sixteen games last season in Inday and totaled 25 solo tackles, 17 assists, 1 interception, 9 passes defensed, and 1 fumble recovery. The fifth-year player has also been a contributor on special teams, owning 14 solo and 4 career assists.

Ayanbadejo, originally an undrafted fre agent out of San Diego State in 1997, spent time with Head Coach Denny Green at Vikings camp in '97 thru '99 before finally latching on with the Baltimore Ravens in September of 1999. After three seasons with Baltimore, he spent training camp in 2002 with the Dolphins and re-signed for the 2003 season and played in all 16 games. He had 12 receptions for 53 yards and tied for third on the Dolphins with 12 special teams tackles.
