I love Pat Tillman! I love what Pat Tillman represents. But there is no rational argument that justifies his position on this list.
I love what Kurt Warner did for the Arizona Cardinals. I love the "Kurt Warner Story". Was he a better Cardinals QB than Jim Hart?

I guess I can agree with the rest of the list.

As much as i liked Pat Tillman he doesn`t belong on top 10 greatest Cards list.Jim Hart,Sonny Randle,,Ottis Anderson,John David Crow, all should be considered before Tillman.

Warner over hart for sure. But ADUB over Tilllman easily. And a lot of other players over Tillman for what they did on the field as cardinals. Tillman was very good in his short time in the NFL though.

Terry Metcalf was twice the returner Vai was. And what about Tim McDonald?

I have a Terry Metcalf jersey, and he had moves like few ever have but to say Terry was twice the returner Vai was is hyperbole. Metcalf played 6 years I believe and Vai 8 years but still Vai had 4 punt return TDs and no Kickoff TDs while Terry had 1 punt return TD and 2 kickoff TDs. Vai averaged 10.9 a punt return/21.0 kickoff return, Metcalf averaged 11.1 punt return/25.5 a kick off return which is hardly twice as good. I would still have Metcalf on my Cardinal greats because he actually was twice as good as a running back compared to Sikahema and he could return too. We can agree that for a kickoff, it would be great to have both back there... on a side note, his son Eric had 10 punt return TDs (though a 13 year career) and 2 kickoff return TDs, and we would have never made the '98 playoffs against San Diego if it was not for the field position on his return of the kickoff

Subjective argument, when they say "greatest cardinal ever" do they mean football player or influential person? Do they mean the character, or is the a combo? If it is influential then Pat Tillman belongs on the list. I often travel into hostile territory wearing my #40 and on several occasions I get the "I hate that color but I can't hate on Tillman" talk.

Also as a player I know it didn't last long but Eric Swann was the greatest player I ever watched play for the cardinals, at any position.

I loved Lomax, but... nope, not even close.

Lomax: 8 seasons, 2 Pro Bowls, 1 season over 4000 yards, 1 season over 60% completions, 1 season led the league in passing yards.

Peterson: 7 seasons, 7 Pro Bowls, 3-time first team All-Pro.

Certainly best pass rusher, but behind Swann as best 'D' lineman. Imo.

Lots to consider with your nominations.

Don Coryell - one of the most influential offensive minds in the game. I think that he never won a single playoff game hurts him.
Ottis (OJ) Anderson - Had his great years with the Cardinals, yet I believe he is remembered most as a NY Giant; which is a shame. NFL RB for 15 years.
Larry Centers - Ahead of his time as a good RB, but an even better receiver!
Jim Bakken - Good one!
Jim Hart - Yes. QB and team leader during their best years in St. Louis
Neil Lomax - Most talented QB to play on the crappiest rosters. Again, loved him as a player; don't think he is worthy of this list.
