Said it looked "pretty serious."

Terrible news that probably means several weeks off and with our WR situation are we looking at Spurlock or Watkins as the 4th WR?

About the only WR I know out there who's available in a deal is Jerry Porter and he makes a lot of money and is probably not in game shape yet and I certainly don't want to give up a high pick to get him. Supposedly Miami and New England are trying to get him but the Raiders are asking too much for him.

So we're probably going to be relying heavily on BJ and Walters the next several weeks.

BJ could have prevented the loss yesterday with an endzone catch of a perfectly thrown pass...how many times have the POTENTIAL big catches ended up on the ground with this guy? He did have some good catches after the drop, but DAMN...just another of the simple mistakes that cost us every week!:bang:

Even though its huge that Fitz is out this is an opportunity for BJ and Walters to get involved in the offense and show what they can really do .. I know BJ had a big drop in this game, but he has shown improvement over last year .. I would like to see what Walters can do as a starter ...

I don't even know if I would call that a drop...did it even touch his hands? That was a killer. :(

I love Walters, watched his whole career at Stanford. He's not a full time player he's too small but all the kid does is get open and catch the ball, great hands.

But if Fitz is out for any length of time it's going to be a problem because Johnson has to step up and be the #2 guy and he's never been consistent enough to do that but he is averaging 23 YPC this year and now is his chance to earn another contract.

Man my baby girl just wore her new Fitz jersey yesterday. I got her so excited and jumping around (she is 10 months old) that by the second quarter she was out like a light until 2 minutes left in the game.

Our offense began to sputter when Fitz went out.

I hear he couldn't even walk on yesterday. He could be done for the season.

Anybody want to trade BJ now?

I don't want to trade him now because he is our #2 by default not because he is a reliable receiver. I also don't want to resign his "stone hands" after his contract is up either.

I was at the game. At the half he walked under his own power to the locker room but with a noticable limp. He could walk but it didn't look pretty.

How about using that $10 million and sign that receiver to a small contract from Detroit that released
can't remember his name though

You mean Charles Rogers? Interesting thought but he seems to have his priorities all messed up right now. Mike WIlliams is another guy who might be available in trade but they'd want too much.

Rogers is intriguing though but his history with drugs has got to concern you.

After Fitz went out, KC just rolled double coverage onto Anquan and made BJ beat them. Good call because BJ once again came up lame in a big situation.

If you're as superstitious as I am, you'll take that jersey off of her and burn it. It was OBVIOUSLY the cause of Fitz' injury!

;)

Sure, if we could get Jeff Hartings for him.

Trade for Joey Porter and possibly Gallery as well. I would also take a shot at Rogers. Why the hell not at this point?

BJ may be the only guy in NFL history to have more touchdown drops than actual touchdowns.

Depends how much the Raiders want for Jerry Porter. Rumor is it's enough that both the dolphins and Pats, desperate for WR help, are balking. I wouldn't give up a first rounder for the guy he hasn't even been active for a game yet Davis has buried the guy killing his trade value.

Porter is a hothead but he is a good player that could help us but I wouldn't want to give up to much for him.

No one can take the place of Fitzgerald...Not Johnson or Walters. This was the same thing when David Boston went out for the year. We played Jason Mccaddley, and looked how he turned out. Plus even if Johnson is moved to the #2 reciever , it doesnt mean he is going to produce. Back in 2003 we had Johnson, Boldin, Foster and Gilmore. Johnson was the # 2 reciever then, and he didn't do anything. If Fitz is out for the year...Our season is over!

You do have to consider that both Boldin and Johnson were rookies that year.

And Q still had superman numbers.

Here is a great time for BJ to learn how to catch a ball with his hands. Not with the body....the hands.....go have Q tell you what this is all about.

Randy Moss caught an almost identical pass yesterday for a TD. Ended up with the ball trapped between his knees. BJohnson needs to learn how to use his knees better.

:D
