NEW YORK – Greg Bird could be back in the Yankees’ lineup as early as Saturday. The plan is for the lefty-hitting first baseman to be activated from the disabled list for Saturday’s game against the Angels at Yankee Stadium, manager Aaron Boone said Thursday on WFAN Radio. “Assuming everything goes according to plan the next couple of days, (the plan is that) he would be ready to go for us on Saturday,’’ Boone told host Mike Francesa. Bird underwent right ankle surgery, delaying his 2018 season.
