NFL players and others have gone into their closets, basements, trophy shelves and files to pull out game-used equipment, awards and other personal mementos.Some are offering their personal time and have created exclusive experiences with them.This isnot your average sports memorabiliaauction!

The players have personally selected the items included in this auction.Some players have even customized some of the items to make them truly one-of -a-kind. Players are giving personal items that mean a lot to them, because this issue does, and helping their fellow players is extremely important to them. This is a chance for collectors and fans to help while at the same time obtain a unique piece of sports history.

Mike Ditka, Jerry Kramer, Joe DeLamielleure, Carl Eller, Lem Barney and others will kick off the auction at a press conference held in Miami on Thursday, February 1st at 11:00AM EST.
The auction will include:
  • Mike Ditka donated his 1975 NFC Championship ring
  • Joe DeLamielleure donated his gold bracelet which OJ Simpson gave to him and other members of the famous Bills offensive line known as the Electric Company, in celebration of their record, Joe's name is engraved as is OJ's inscription." We did it, The Juice"
  • Vince Lombardi Jr. donated plays hand drawn by his father
  • Merlin Olson & Jerry Kramer will take high bidders on a fishing trip of a lifetime in Hells Canyon, winners spend two days with these NFL greats and master fisherman!
  • John McEnroe has donated a day of tennis with him
  • Paul Hornung has donated a football signed by himself, Bart Starr and Jim Taylor
  • Eli Manning donated a pair of his game worn cleats
  • Dwight Clark customized a football has hand drawn the famous CATCH play on it
  • Archie Manning donated a trio of Manning family authentic football Jerseys
  • Howie Long will host fans for a day on the Fox NFL set, and then have dinner with them
  • Harry Carson will spend a day with fans in New York City
**These are just a few of the items that will be included in the auction. Some of the other NFL stars involved in the auction and donation drive include: Sam Huff, Willie Davis, Lem Barney, Don Shula, Jan Stenarud, Marv Levy, Paul Hornung, Ronnie Lott, members of the New England Patriots Alumni, and many more!

Proceeds of this auction will go to the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund, a non-profit fund to assist former NFL players. The fund will provide direct financial assistance to retired players who are disadvantaged or indigent due to inadequate pension and disability compensation.
