Softball? I hate to say it but I've heard that line in many, many movies. When we were stationed in Augsburg, Germany the Army movie theater closest to where we lived played pretty much every "blaxploitation" film of the 70's and I think I've seen them all. I doubt a single one of them escaped without using that line at least once.

There is one specific cult movie that comes to mind but when the line is used, it's really dragged out, as in "caaaan youuuu diiiiiiig iiiiit". I don't see any evidence of Warriors being aired right now so I'm guessing that's not it?

Okay, I checked again looking for Warriors and what did I discover? Airplane is playing on AMC and I'm pretty sure that's another movie that uses BIM's quote.

I almost dragged it out like that.

Don't you get channel 387? SundanceTV.

"The Warriors" is on.

You're up. :)

Too late, I already changed my guess to Airplane. And yes, I get Sundance but stupid Spectrum has it mixed up with all the local channels instead of where the movie channels rest and I rarely go into the 1200's.

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure is on now. Seems like just yesterday they were filming it at the old Coronado campus when I was a sophomore.

When I look at photos from Coronado today I don't even recognize the school I went to. At least they kept the mural, even though they moved it.

Seriously, no one recognizes that quote (Or do I owe her an apology)? It's a crowd pleasing line from a very popular mainstream movie.

Alright, here's another quote from the same flick:

We're here because you're looking for the best of the best of the best, SIR!

The spoiler is from Men in Black. I think. ;)

It is, as was the original quote. The first quote was how Will ended his speech after killing the little girl instead of the monsters in his test run. So, you're up.

Mr. Rat... I have a writ here says you're to stop eating Chen Lee's cornmeal forthwith. Now it's a rat writ, writ for a rat, and this is lawful service of the same. See? Doesn't pay any attention to me.

Hint: it is one of the greatest westerns of all time.

I'm going to bail you out here. I didn't really want to go next but as a diehard Wayne fan I can't just sit here and let you abuse his catalog in this manner.

I've said it before, this was his most overrated movie (well, maybe The Searchers). I didn't see the remake a couple of years ago, does anyone know if they made Jeff Bridges repeat this silly line?

They didn't that I can remember. I didn't say it was Waynes greatest just that the western was one of the greatest. ;) I didn't like the remake as well as some.

I never got the praise for this either, although I do like John Wayne in the film. I just thought it was sad seeing him that old and decrepit. True Grit for the win.

Possible tough one:

Earthmen will fall to their knees, betray their country and give away valuable real estate for a desirable woman.

Ahh, yes, Mouth Jewelry! I was disappointed in it the first time I saw it but fell in love with it a decade later. It's the first time I ever took notice of Oz or Willow.

Interestingly enough, Paula's younger sister, Ann Prentiss played the voice role of the bag and it was her last work in film or TV despite being still fairly young. She started going crazy around that time and eventually tried to kill Richard Benjamin and Paula IIRC. Anyway, it's one of our favorites and hardly a year goes by now where we don't re-watch My Stepmother is an Alien. Gotta get me some of that good pie!

I thought it would be too obscure--I'll have to make it harder next time.

I guess that's one way to go? My question would be, why? I didn't realize we were playing stump the audience. I've tried to use this to bring up movies that might create or renew interest in a movie. IMO, for the most part, obscure movies are obscure for a very good reason.

I don't know why it didn't dawn on me but I guess that means it's my turn. So here it is:

You go take care of my little girl now. That's your job. Always thought of you as a son. Always. But, I'd be damn proud to have you marry Grace.

Oh, look at this! Sons of the pharaohs! Give me frogs, flies, locusts, anything but YOU! Compared to you the other plagues were a joy!
