Key newcomers: Jacob Croucher, Sr.; Tommy Moon, Sr.; Nick Harris, Soph.; Nicholas, Fr.
Coach Stewart’s take: “We are starting the year behind the 8-ball as we have two starting pitchers and infielders out for the season after major knee surgery due to injuries in other sports. Our already young and inexperienced roster just got a lot younger and more inexperienced (9 of our 14 players are freshmen and sophomores). We will be forced to play a lot of players who have minimal baseball experience. We will also need a few guys who have minimal to no pitching experience to step up and give us some innings on the mound. When you have only 75 boys in the entire school and very few are baseball players, it makes it a difficult task to be competitive. This year we also got bumped up to Division 6 where we will be forced to play in the tournament against schools and programs much bigger than us. However, the boys who have chosen to play baseball at Fisher Catholic are great kids who will continue to push the boulder! We are focused on three things this season: getting better every day, having fun, and being a great teammate. If we do these three things, we will have a successful season.
Coach: Travis Stone (11th season)
Conference: Mid-State League-Buckeye Division
Last year’s record: 8-17
Returning letter-winners: Brady Holbrook, Sr.; Tanner Affolter, Sr.; Peyton Beavers, Sr.; Brody Beavers, Sr.; Brody Elder, Sr.; Dalton Dresbach, Sr; Braxton Bussard, Sr.; Gary Kemmerling, Jr.; Bodie Martin, Jr.; Nick Holland, Soph.; Breece Stone, Soph.; Cole Schiff.
Key losses: graduated six players
Key newcomers: Gage Crenshaw, Sr.; Noah Chambers, Jr.; Andrew Miller, Soph.
Coach Stone’s take: “We bring back a lot of pieces to a team that competed at a very high-level last season, and we are adding some valuable pieces around them. It was a productive offseason. Looking forward to seeing that growth take the field this spring.”
Coach: Scott Burke (16th season)
Conference: Mid-State League-Buckeye Division
Last year’s record: 13-15 (district semifinals)
Returning letter-winners: Chase Harmon, Sr.; Ben Barringer, Sr.; Angelo Galela, Sr.; Ashton Waldrop, Jr.; Garrett Dilcher, Jr.; Brady Andrews, Jr. Eli Wolfe, Soph.; Dylan Chilcote, Soph.
Key losses: Kyle Wolfe, Aiden McCafferty, Ty Fisher, Jeremiah Johnson
Key newcomers: N/A
Coach Burke’s take: “This team will look to build off the two tournament wins at the end of last season. That, along with a great offseason and a team full of seniors and juniors, the Falcons will be strong up the middle. We must improve on hitting and cutting down on strikeouts.”
Coach: Chad Cupp (seventh season)
Conference: Mid-State League-Cardinal Division
Last year’s record: 15-9
Returning letter-winners: William Bolton, Sr.; Quynn Duncan, Sr.; Zach Hartmann, Sr.; Clayton Moore, Sr.; Colton Woodgeard, Sr.; Colt Probasco, Jr.; Ethin Redinger, Jr.; Jeremy Hartmann, Soph.; Colton Moore, Soph.
Key losses: Cade Pugh, Hudson Gerken, Austin Snyder, Glenny Harris
Key newcomers: Aidan Cyrus, Jr.; Mayson Walton, Jr.; Ashton O’Rourke, Soph.; Cam Brown, Soph.; James Hocking, Soph.; Gage Wolford, Soph.; Carson Kiger, Fr.
Coach Cupp’s take: “We only lost four seniors from a successful 2024 season, but that includes a large percentage of our innings pitched. We bring back a good group of infielders and outfielders that should give us a solid defense. The players are working hard and are excited for the season to start as they are looking forward to playing on our new field early in the season.”
