@ddockett: San Fran has a sick ass fan base, always a pleasure to play here. They got some real loyal fans.

He's tweeted in the past the only two teams he would never play for are Washington and San Fran.

So....I dunno? Maybe a pot shot at us? Maybe just an honest observation?

He should be getting ready for a football game, not stirring the pot.

Kind of easy to pack the stadium when you are winning the division in back to back years.

Maybe Dockett forgot that. I know Whis sure has.

I know we are sensitive to it-- but the "large amount of opposing fan" syndrome is a fact of life for about 20 franchises in the NFL.

when the Steelers played the Cowboys, there were a very large amount of Steelers fans in Dallas. This is a phenomenon across the sunbelt -- and it speaks in large measure about regions the country is moving from and regions the country is moving to. I was in Atlanta last year for a weekend where a good Falcons team was playing GB in. Sunday night game. I couldn't tell you how many GB fans were there.

Even in the NFC north-- outside of GB, any north team in a division game where the home team is kinda out of it will have a very large contingent of opposing fans.

He also tweets that he wants fans to bring him peach soda. It's 9-0. He tweets all kinds of stuff.

This is a very important point that often gets overlooked. Sick of announcers talking about "great traveling fanbases" who are really just local economic refugees from places like the Rust Belt.

The dude asked his twitter followers if they knew of a massage place in San Francisco who would do sexual favors for him yesterday (in essence). He's just a strange dude.

Screw DD!!! He makes a lot of coin for his subpar play & doesn't fit the 3-4...trade him if Horton is still here next year!!!

I do think Dockett is much better suited to be an interior lineman in a 4-3. I don't think he justifies his contract as a 3-4 DE. I wouldn't be opposed to moving him. Campbell is 3x the player of Dockett with none of the baggage.

Well, the Cardinals have at least one sick ass fan sitting right here. I scream my head off each game and have only missed one game in 8 years. I know many of you count yourself the same... so... only a few 10,000s more and we're there.

Those of us who are always there though can sure be loud and rock that building. We got your back DD... the rest will come.

well i have been to candlestick park to see the cards play,
the fanbase?
meh...when montana was there he said it felt more like a white wine and brie cheese eating crowd than something resembling a game at lambeau
the stadium is an absolute dump though.

i am amazed that they can keep a team with such a long pedigree of winning as the 49ers in that hell hole

as far as docketts observation?
i could care less, its meaningless to me since i can't relate to his perspective
nobodies paying me millions to stand on the field in front of 50 thousand people playing a kids game

i do like d'dock though, hope he comes back

If Wells would have tweeted that, this thread would be about 12 pages long by now.

I was at 6 or 7 Niner home games (post Steve Young era) before their recent resurgence, I would go as far as saying Niner fans are some of the biggest fair-weather fans in the league.

Speaking of players fans like to bag on did anyone notice that Dan Williams had 6 tackles and 2 assists today? Probably his best game as a Cardinal.

He's had a pretty solid year.
