Reminds me of stoudemire when he was young before he blew out his knees 12 times. He used to just try and just jump over the other guy because that was his only move.

He's kind of between Marion and Amare. He doesn't have Amare's strength but has a little more elevation. Amare was so good at catching the ball. If Hakim can catch it, Nash is going to make him alot of money.

not for another 3 years hes not. :D

As always Hakim was ridiculed and called "overpaid" on this board before even playing a game.

Youd think people would get a clue after seeing nash turn water into wine for 6 years now.

75% of this board hate or hated the Warrick signing, now they're all worshipping him. Pretty funny.

Yep, a scrub like Warrick looked pretty good last night. More like Shawn Marion in that he hustles and gets offensive rebounds.

As I posted in the game thread, "Hakim Warrick sucks and is going to take away valuable minutes from Lawal."

I love Hakim Warrick and I know SULaxman aka PoolBoy does too.

But then again we are from Syracuse.

That dunk reminded me of that dude that used to play for the Suns last year....I think he's with the Knicks now...

He has shown me something that I didn't think he had. He has had a bit of a nasty streak in him and scraps for every ball. That doesn't make him a great player or any less overpaid but it sure as hell gives the Suns a little of the feistiness that left with Raja Bell.

Let's not confuse "worship" with respect for what he has shown.

Do you ever admit youre wrong about anything?

Yes. I was wrong about thinking you would ever admit to being wrong about anything. :D

What I am wrong about? Is he Great? Is it clear he isn't overpaid yet?

You kill me. I don't think anybody can make that determination right now...let alone you or me. Read what I wrote.

I liked the Hakim Warrick signing. And Childress. Problem was those two, along with adding Hedo, made for such a redundant offseason that it was just lousy.

Individually none of the guys stink (well, maybe Hedo), but taken as a whole things aren't so good.

How is he overpaid? He's making less than Frye and certainly makes less than what we paid Barbosa.

What I like about Warrick is that he knows how to adjust his shot in traffic. Yesterday he made a tough layup on a strong drive by adjusting.

Warrick has played really well against us in the past, so his game against Utah shouldn't be that much of a surprise. When we signed him and I thought he'd be starting, I thought he'd have a big season. He was projected to have a breakout season last year before getting buried on the benches of both Milwaukee and Chicago. Then with the arrival of Turkoglu it was hard to predict what Warrick will contribute and how much playing time he'll get.

We shouldn't expect a double-double every night off the bench, but I think he'll be very productive with the second unit so long as he gets consistent minutes, something that has eluded him thus far in his career. The question is, should he be starting? He played well with both Nash and Dragic last night.

I don't really know if he is or isn't. If he becomes a guy that shows up every other game for instance...he will be. If he becomes a consistant contributor he won't. There were many analyst in the NBA that said we could have gotten the same level of talent for cheaper.

Simply saying we don't know right now.

Simply saying we don't know right now.

If we don't know yet then why were you already insinuating that he's overpaid?

The guy only makes about $4m a year and based on what we've seen of him so far, that's better value than half the contracts in the league.

Of course we're only 2 games in but I doubt we are going to regret his contract anywhere as much as Hedo, Frye etc.

Just remember.... Amare used to bitch slap Warrick all the time.

I am not a huge fan, but it was a damn good impression.

I was commenting on another post that stated he was overpaid. I wasn't insinuating anything. Again...let me make it clear for you...we don't know.

You said he was overpaid. So clearly, you do know.

I said it doesn't make him great or any less overpaid. Chap made the comment about 75% of people not liking the signing which included people saying we over paid for a role player after that signing.

So as usual you just like taking shots versus actually understanding what is being said.
