This was a romping, awesome cheese fest from beginning to end. Aside from how fun the movie was, Gemma Arterton (sp?) is very easy on the eyes...and naked redheads ALWAYS make the movie better :D

I thought it was cheesy fun. Sort of like Army of Darkness without Bruce Campbell.

Wait - nudity and a comparison to army of darkness? This just became a must see for me.

The adults on the movie poster with giant weapons didn't make you get that it isn't the kids story?

I get that.. But isnt this a remake of a childrens story? It just seems creepy..

Alice in wonderland was a fkd up book adapted into a childrens movie.

Same with Willy Wonka.

Taking a basic theme of a childrens movie and sayiong "now they are all grown up" and send them packing shotguns and blowing up monsters is a-ok to me.

Nothing creepy about it. We grew up too.

Yeah, fun movie. The last 20 minutes were kinda dumb, but I enjoyed it for what it was.

Most of what you think were childrens stories were super messed up in the original telling and were made to be kid friendly by Disney and Mother Goose.
Plus Hansel and Gretel is a story about two kids who get abducted by a murderous, cannibalistic witch who then survive by counter-murdering her by burning her alive in her own oven.

This was not a good movie. Definitely not the worst I have ever seen but it wasn't good either. Some of the FX were cool and some were cheese. Sucks because I thought the concept was pretty cool.
