Posting this here, since this appears to be the forum you most regularly post at.

Are you really 40? :D

Happy B-Day!

Thank you, and yes, today is REALLY the big 4-0. Wow, hard to imagine really. A lot has happened in the last year.

I'll be posting more on this board real soon. I'll stick to the movie board as I started working at Blockbuster Video two weeks ago. Free rentals and the ability to view new DVDs before they hit the shelves. I saw Pirates the week before Thanksgiving. This weekend is Seabiscuit. I may never go to the movies again. :)

That won't happen, but the last film I saw in the theater was Radio. Money has been very tight.

Thanks for thinking of me.

Bob

Thanks again. As for the "diet" (I hate using that word), I have gone into maintenance mode. My goal for the holidays is to not gain, rather than to continue losing.

I am at a comfortable weight for the winter and if I can control my eating habits throughout, I should be ready to knock off the last 40 pounds or so by May or June.

Working at Blockbuster Video also has the benefit of a lot of exercise. Bending and walking are two of the primary duties on the job. Over Thanksgiving weekend, I lost 2 pounds. Not sure how many people can say that.

Year 39 was a great one for my health, now I just need to get my finances in order and I will be a happy guy. Imagine that, a happy Bob Chebat. Who woulda thunk it?

Thanks again to those who sent their wishes.

Looking back at year 39-40, it was the most liberating year of my life. Things have really gotten better.

I won't be posting as much as I used to, but I will be dropping in on conversations from time to time, and will give some early commentary on new release DVDs as I get to see them.

These message board environments tend to get my blood pressure up, so I need to keep a low profile and stay out of arguments.

:D
