Only thing I would change is move Miller into the happy section. Otherwise

AJ Green. It would most likely mean the end of Fitz in Az.

Yup. I would add the parenthetical for Fairley, as well. The good news is that if we draft either of those guys by the time they're ready to start we'll have a new defensive head coach installing the 4-3 Tampa-2 scheme we should've been running for the past five years and they'll be ready to be studs. :bang:

Happy: Gabbert, Miller, Peterson... and I expect the one still on the board at #5 will be the Card's selection.

Happy: Gabbert or Miller.
Neutral: Newton, Quinn, or Peterson.
Sad: No one. I would be surprised however if the pick wasn't one of the a fore mentioned five.

Happy- Gabbet, Quinn... these are our biggest needs. One of the two will be there for our pick. I really don't have the confidence in Graves and Whiz to pick one of them however. We have depth at Cb so while Peterson would be a great pick he is not a postion of need. AJ Jefferson could develop into a very good Cb. We need depth in our Lb corp and we need a qb that will be the QBOTF. Gabbert can be that guy. I am just hoping for the best but expecting the wors't with Graves and Whiz in this draft. We should get a top player with the 1st pick regardless but if the top Qb or top Pass rusher is there we should get one of them IMO.

We have depth at cornerback? Did everyone remember Toler getting benched last year for Midget Mike Adams? Toler was bad last year.

So besides DRC and the guy who got benched last year we have two undrafted free agents who proved about as much as a rookie will have proven for 2011.

Guys under contract -

DRC
Toler
Marshay Green
AJ Jefferson

That is a really scary depth chart.

I am glad people are starting to come around on Quinn at #5 but did he absolutely kill his Pro Day or something recently? I am shocked this many people would be "happy" with him.

Happy

Quinn
Peterson
Gabbert

Wait and See

Newton
Miller

No Likey

Dareus
Bowers
Fairley
AJ Green

(With the above, I just don't think those are positions we need to pursue at #5 rather then them being bad prosepcts))

No.

I do remember Toler having a foot injury but I never saw anything about him being so bad he was benched for Mike Adams.

If that is really true, and I've never heard or seen anything along those lines until reading your post, then, if available, Peterson had better be the pick at #5.

What I like about Patrick Peterson in the first round is that it gives a big, physical corner with the athleticism to push DRC. From what I have seen, and it probably too early to tell, DRC is more Antonio Cromartie than D Revis. Because of this, I totally believe that we should be looking hard for a top all around corner to complement our less than physical incumbent. Also, how it effects our overall depth chart at CB is really nice. Toler can be a very solid 3, which would make M Adams (if resigned), AJ Jefferson, Marshay Green, Trumaine McBride and any possible free agents a solid group to battle for the remaining 2 or 3 spots.

He was without a doubt benched half way through the Seahawks game after getting yet again torched. It is when we learned that he still didnt know the defense and wasnt playing his responsibilities, it was also after the game reporters heard DRC trying to make him feel better by telling him to not listen to the coaches just to play your game. There were many topics about it on this very board.
