Deadspin.com had the skinny. Most are guessing sexual harassment.

I have really enjoyed HR's work over the years as ESPN has gotten progressively more and more crappy.

After reading quotes from the article like "I have on good authority that HR was fired for all things, hitting on girls. Allegedly, this has been going on for a while. The last straw was when a new PA was having none of what Harold had to offer and turned him in." I see this thread going down hill real fast.

First Peter Gammons, now HR....

They need some already established magic for Baseball Tonight. May I suggest John Tesh and Yanni?

John Kruk and Steve Phillips...

...Remind me never to watch BBTN ever again.

ESPN in general has been crap for sometime and keeps getting worse.

To be fair, BBTN still had some quality programming up until recently after Sportscenter went straight into the crapper. Guys like Buster Olney, Gammons, and Harold Reynolds were not without their flaws, but they look like Vin Scully and Jack Buck when compared to Kruk and Phillips. I knew the show was over when Steve Phillips came aboard with those horrifying mock press conferences and Kruk brought his idiotic Fox Sports antics and lack of intelligence to the airwaves.

This stinks. Harold and his brothers went to my high school. They own all sorts of baseball and track records there. Harold would often come back and speak to his old high school, I guess that’s over now.

It is very sad what has happened to ESPN, and especially sportscenter.

Wow this out of left field (no pun intended)

HR and Gammons were by FAR my favorite on air talents at ESPN. This sucks....:(

I haven't watched sportscenter in like 7 years. I used to watch NBA 2 Nite when it was on and would catch BBTN every now and then, now I pretty much only watch their sporting events and sometimes PTI(as long as they aren't using guest hosts) now.

From Ben Maller;

" After being accused of sexual harassment and fired by ESPN, former "Baseball Tonight" analyst Harold Reynolds said yesterday he doesn't think he did anything wrong and is still hoping to regain his job. "This was a total misunderstanding," Reynolds told The Post. "My goal is to sit down and get back. To be honest with you, I gave a woman a hug and I felt like it was misinterpreted." Reynolds declined to give any more details. The woman who accused Reynolds of the sexual harassment is an ESPN co-worker, according to sources. ... Reynolds is hopeful ESPN executives will change their minds. Besides being with the network for 11 years, Reynolds had just signed a new six-year contract to remain in Bristol and he recently got married."
